That's a great growth guide, carly.

To me, baby looks more pink with less white down than average. At least he/she doesn't have the black spots. We will be watching closely, won't we? :biggrin:

Saw Terka's photo and got me a little worried since Baby seemed to lose all his hair on his belly pretty quickly and the red (blood looking to me) dots on his wing, crop and face/beak. The stuff over eye, I know is from DC's feeding. I also thought maybe it's the heat is adding to the pink skin color.

I tried looking back at some of the archives from today and the back area looks okay, just the front in that photo.

If it's just prior to fill in, I feel better.

There was a discussion in our Facebook group about the number of nests where the babies are pinker than expected. There did seem to be more nests where this seemed to be a problem this year than in past years, although I guess part of it could be better cam quality this year. It does seem that once they get to about 3 weeks old, they're fine.

Pink babies I can take! My theory [and a totally uneducated one, I might add] is that this baby is being fed so much, he has outgrown his feathers! :egg7:

So good to see all the feedings, even if the parents are a little clumsy and bicker about who is going to do the feeding. Sounds like a lot of humans!

I think hte camera and lighting hs a lto of do with pink look. they will check at banding.

Beauty sat on the rail for the first part of the feeding, then perched on the box, but just observed. Then I guess she couldn't resist & jumped inside & took over the feeding.
