Aside from the initial fledge, this is always the time I hate..lol...so much could go wrong. I like it after about 10 days when they are flying proficiently then I can relax :girlyes:

I'm so glad he fledged-finally! MAK just texted me that they've seen no sign of DC this AM-strange as he's been on guard with B for so many days then misses the fledge.

my eyes must be failing me as i could not see him on that building, but I am glad they all have him in view.

DC could also be out hunting up some breakfast.

Now when that happened at Edmonton I got a hold of building maintenance and had them lock the doors so no one could get out and scare our youngster. but I imagine it is harder to do there.

Now it would not be a problem to lock that door by him so no one could go out there and spook him.

You are so right, bEv. . .hope they lock that area off. .

He's done a little stretching and preening and has now moved to the shade. .looks like he could be lying down now. . still awaiting something to eat!!!

He's likely somewhere you can't see him Kris. His job now is keep the air space clear so he'll be incognito. Jack does the same thing during fledge watch. MAny times I cursed him for not being there and suddenly a strange bird would try to fly through and he'd jump off from a rooftop and nail it! He could also be keeping an eye on Pigott so she doesn't attempt to come in and disrupt the situation. Don't forget how far they can see, I'd bet he knows exactly where Orion is. :girlyes:

MAKfalcon (MAK): O is tucked up against SE wall of Crossroads under rail in shade. B remains on W corner top ibeam OCSR

Just strange because when I was at the fledge watch on Monday and everyday since then, he's been out in plain sight keeping an eye on the boy. We're heading to Rochester at 1:30 for a Dr. appointment & will be checking out BS to see if we can see him there with Pigott.

Beauty's a good mom and has her eye on him. MAK says still no sign of DC yet-he's pulled the disappearing act before. Beauty's been trying to hunt-stooped on a pigeon a couple times. No food for O yet this AM-not since yesterday AM.

O is still on the corner of the Crossing (?) building. . I've had the recorder on the cam .. no food drop yet. .

I've gotta run errands but will keep recorder on the cam in hopes of catching something .. :sunsmile:

that is too bad as they cooperate here. I just explain the situation and ask them to keep doors locked fr a week after fledge and they do. Did they try .

Remember Beauty will have a stash somewhere , so if she needs it she will go to it.
