looks like lil dad is atop his cam perch att 2PM enjoying the shade as well as peace and quiet as niecey isnt there :teehee:

As of 4pm somebody is on the stick with their wings opened due to the heat. since i cant tell by the tail i can not tell if its niecey or lil dad :girlhot:

Lil' Dad was on the stick alarm calling up a storm but didn't leave. A few minutes later Niecey arrives and they are bonding and chattering like they haven't seen each other in weeks.

Niecey flew to the camera perch and Lil' Dad did a little quick head jerk to bow. He always cracks me up with that movement. :girlluv:

Jane, there are two PPL sites in the Allentown area. One at the PPL building in the city and another at the PPL generating plant at the river. I remember seeing stories on the news about the nest at the PPL building in the city, but nothing for the past couple of years, so maybe they moved elsewhere.

NIECEY IS STILL ON THE STICK, HOLDING OUT THOSE WINGS. ON THE WAY HOME, THE TRUCK SHOWED 101 DEGREES. THEY SAID BOTH TODAY AND TOMORROW ARE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE COLD FRONT! LIL DAD IS SITTING JUST OUT OF THE CLOSE UP VIEW :-(

Both thier wings are open and drooping but i guess if we were wearing a down comforter too in these temps wed do anything to get some air flowing under us :girlhot:

Great news about another of Mom's offspring. Wow, that is a lot for the Carson Bldg. Makes me thinking good things about next year.

EDIT: SOMEONE DID A HIT AND MISS ON A JUVIE MOURNING DOVE THIS MORNING OR ELSE IT FLEW INTO THE BLDG BY ITSELF. IT WAS ON THE SIDEWALK ON ABERDEEN SIDE.

BOTH ARE GONE FROM THE LEDGE NOW

Aww! The poor dove. Feel bad if it killed itself, but don't feel so bad when they are providing food. Now it is wasted. Another beastly one out there today. Feels like the Tropics. Hope the storms aren't as bad as they are saying. :sum1:

Haven't seen a falcon anywhere in the times I've looked today. Nasty storms are starting to form north and west of Harrisburg. I can see huge puffy clouds here to the north. The air is tropical. And I checked for any info from Allentown about the web cam on the PPL Building. Last report was from 2008.

LIL DAD LEFT, NIECEY WAS ON THE SHIELD AND FLEW OFF AND IS NOW ON THE CAM PERCH. JUST HEARD THUNDER. SUPPOSED TO BE POSSIBLE HAIL AND 60 MHP WINDS IN THIS STORM.

Am surprised it's not pouring downtown. Looks like it should be according to the radar. It's getting dark as midnight here, and I think I need to get off this thing.
