Greg, thanks so much for your encouraging words. We humans have a hard time with Nature's harshness. When Mom was gone, Lil Dad moved on rather quickly too. Like Red Girl and CJ. That is the way of Falcon's and all birds I guess.

Slightly off topic, but related: The male red tail hawk at the Franklin Institute was killed recently, hit by a car, and within a week, the female had accepted a new male partner. She has even allowed him to feed her three eyases. I guess when there is a need to provide for the young, they move on quickly.

THAT ONE CHICK SURE IS SCREAMING ALOT. EVEN SCREAMING WHEN LIL DAD TRIED TO FEED HIM AND WALKED AWAY FROM LIL DAD SCREAMING WHEN HE TRIED TO FEED HIM. I THINK LIL DAD IS A LITTLE CONFUSED BY HIM. THE CHICK WAS REALLY FLAPPING GOOD THOUGH, I SURE HOPE THEY DON'T TRY TO GO OFF THE LEDGE ANYTIME SOON, BUT WHEN THEY DO, HE LOOKED LIKE HE WOULD DO REALLY GOOD :-)

I was starting to worry about the one crying so much remembering Blue Boy a couple of years ago. I sure am glad he is quiet and exploring now, but not too close to the edge please. :nailbite:
