I still remember Stelco's old nest site in Lansing back in 2009, they went in too late and one of the kids jumped to her death in panic. It was horrible. They really should be banded between 21 -27 days max, though they've pushed it up here to 29 and we've come close to having disasters as well.

It was Stelco's last year there - she was a great girl! She was also a half sister of Pigott. Daughter of Madame X and a previous mate.

I've asked on the Forum about banding and was told that they'll know more when people get back from vacations. I don't understand because this should have been set up with the DEC a long time ago. Nothing more is being said...Very disappointing if this little one doesn't get bands and a name. We all know they should be banded by the 27th day and this is the 22nd.

I just saw on Facebook that baby gets banded today sometime between 10:30 & noon! Yippee! :sunsmile:

Alright, that's about 17.30 in the Netherlands. Around that time, we have diner so I hope you can take captures so I can see the banding later on ;-)

Baby is pitching a fit this morning. From what I can tell, she hasn't been fed yet, so is being VERY vocal with Beauty. I think she's going to start eating the nestbox soon, or head out and pick up a piece of scrap right in front of the box.

Twitter posts indicate DC is DT on the OCSR building.

Wow - An exciting day ahead with baby's banding. I can't wait to hear if it's a girl or a boy (although I am favoring a girl). And I'll have to check out the names' poll too.

Guy just said "It stinks up here"

He just bagged 1 egg and said it was dripping stuff. Can't tell if that was B's egg, or if it was U's egg.

The other egg is still in 1 piece.

If I had to guess, 1st egg was Unity's?

Is Beauty looking out for more intruders? She and DotCa are always so protective of their not-so-little one. Based on size, I could have sworn baby was a girl. But he's a boy and takes after his father, I think.
