Not hearing anything is tough. I believe those watching down there might not have many chances of relaying messages that get posted until later. I have debated all day thus far about posting this. We did hear last night that Yellow took off and at that point had not been located. I do not know anything else.

thanks Jane. I hope yellow is O.K.

Just follow the adults. We lost one of our falcons one night and found it the next day by watching the adults. It was in a precarious spot but found it.

Continuing positive thoughts.

I knwo they are very buys.

OH, I'm sure the watchers know about following the adults. Don't know what the weather in Wilmington is like today, but in Harrisburg some severe weather is headed our way. :-(

I wasn't able to get down to the fledge watch today, but I'm planning on spending some time there tomorrow morning.

I did check the Wilmington Falcons Blog (http://www.wilmfalcons.com/blog.htm) for any news and found a post from yesterday in which Kim noted that one of the girls had been missing but was found walking in a garage. Yellow Band (I'm assuming it was Yellow) was going to be spending the night at Arlene's and then be released on the roof this morning. So I hope all went well.

As for the weather here, it's been high winds all day and the forecast calls for thunderstorms starting around 7:00 pm.

I was wondering if she would be doing that. that is exactly what ours did.

This is good news.

continuing hugs to all watching and running. Good vibes :girlluv: :girlluv:

Oh, thank you SO MUCH for that news on Yellow, Ethel. And I figured your weather down there was sort of like ours. We are under a tornado watch in Harrisburg until 9:00 tonight. At the moment both of the juvies in HBG are on the ledge, and they just had a food drop. Kudos again to all of you down there. Will Arlene be Yellow anything to eat? I think she fledged too soon.

Just getting to check in here for the first time today and was very pleased to read Ethel's report. So glad Arlene took Yellow. What a treat ? Had her on my mind all day. I will be going down there tomorrow morning. Hopefully the weather will get better. It has rained lightly, but storms are predicted with winds. The wind is rather strong already.

It was Yellow who got picked up at the garage. Just visited Kim and Tim on roof and could see Yellow on the roof of the Brandywine Building and White on a ledge on the Wilmington Trust Building, where she's been all day. Green has not been seen all day. Red flew up to the ledge under the box earlier today but has not been in evidence recently. Red Girl and CJ sometimes are away toward Rodney Square but not sure if they're hunting or visiting a kid.

Thanks SO MUCh for that report, Greg. I thought Kim was going out of town. Again, more kudos to everyone down there. And be safe.

Sorry for not posting...am getting too old for these 13-14 hour days...

There was hardly any flying by the kids today which I'm assuming was because of the wind.

We're not sure about RG's location but all others were accounted for when we left. I saw RG look like she was landing on the Nemours Building early this morning but never actually saw her land. I assumed she did because the parents flew back my way right after she would have landed and they wouldn't have done that if she hadn't landed safely. Anyway she hasn't been seen since then.

Doug found GG toward the end of the day today which we were very happy about!!! Doug and Arlene are two of our dedicated helpers who live in the city and can see the nest box from their deck!

Besides finding GG, what really made me smile today was when YG finally got up the courage to fly right before it started raining. She flew from the Brandywine Building over to the Wilmington Trust Building which was where WG was hanging out. The two of them were standing side by side playing around and looked SO HAPPY to see each other!!!

CJ and Red Girl are awesome and also make me smile. Whenever one of the kids starts flying, they both appear out of nowhere like magic!!! They then seem to be giving them steering lessons and also make sure they land safely. And man do they ever watch out for their kids and any kind of "predator". WG was on the ledge of a building and someone kept looking through the blinds at her and whenver they did, one or both of the adults starting carrying on and dive bombing. We finally got through to the lady to stop peeking. Can't say that I blame her for wanting to look at that sweet falcon inches away from her through the glass. :)

I sure hope all the girls are seen and doing well tomorrow. Unfortunately I leave to go out of town until Tuesday. :(

One of these days I will post videos of a couple of the first flight take offs and also of YG and WG reuniting tonight...

Kim - Great to hear from you! It sounds like the girls are doing well, and I was glad to hear about Yellow's flight over to her sister White at Wilmington Trust. I'm going to try to get there tomorrow morning and spend a couple of hours starting around 7:00. I hope all the girls will be in sight and accounted for.

Thanks for taking the time tonight to bring us up to date with the fledglings. I hope you have a great trip and get to enjoy some down time after your long and tiring days with fledge watch this week.

Thanks Kim . . . but it's next to nothing compared to what you've been doing.

One of the kids was taken to Tri-State around 10:00 last night. On initial exam he didn't have any injuries but will be looked at more closely this morning. He will probably have to stay at TS until Monday since we don't have access to the roof until then. Not to worry -- he won't be shipped to hack site!

I also got an email from a friend around 11:30 last night saying a friend of hers found an injured falcon. Hopefully this is the same bird that was taken to TS. And I sure hope I hear from someone soon that they found the other kids!!!!!
