Radisson is looking out of the box and down at the ground - I wonder what is going on?

Well, now she is looking up and around, so either one of the helicopters is coming in to land on the heart institute, or the male is flying around.

Becky and Peter and I were down at site tonight.

Just before 7pm

When peter and I got there R was in box and Chase was on northwest back corner of Maz.
the R flew out to west corner of Maz and Chase went to wrung of box.

R was not out too long and then she flew back in.

Then R was out again and Chase was on netting.

WE went for our coffee at Second cup. Perfect spot for watching falcons. Maybe they can sponsor us. :egg11: :egg11:

later on Chase flew off and headed straight north. We thought maybe hunting for food.

R eventually came out and flew back to Maz. We did not see Chase come back, but he obviously did as he flew over to box . then r flew back in box and Chase flew back to Maz. that is where we left them.

Tired today after babysitting so I am feeling better that this young male is taking direction from R and learning well.

We will see as chicks get bigger and then Fledge. that I am nervous about. have no clue where they will be taken. All is different. A new learning experience.

so if you do nto see them, do not worry, they are either on Maz.or on netting.

Chase may end up being a doting father like Lil Dad in Harrisburg. :loveheart2: So cute seeing him lying in the box with his kids. (As I say that, though, are they his or the previous male? :egg16: )

They belong to the previous male.

I think he came in a few days after Radisson was in hard incubation. Bev can confirm.

that is right mwplay. The chicks are K97. Chase came in to stay around beginning of May. There was fighting and then he won out. We know K97 was there on April26th. we did not see real aggressive fighting.

Fighting was first seen the beginning of next week and when we were observing, K97 was still around. I am thinking that K97 had not fully recovered from injuries from last year and just decided to move on . I am hoping. I still keep my eyes out for him though, as I am hoping he will be around somewhere like the male at San Jose .

But I have been through this before. In 2010, K97 took site from our beloved O/Y( our super dad) after they were into incubation. Did not have time to think about it, like this year, as making sure the eggs are incubated and chicks cared for, is most important thing. I am getting better at accepting these things.

JUST up and caught the chicks alone and then in Came Radissson with breakkie.. Peter was watching as I had to quickly do something.

Not as big a piece as usual so it must be leftovers and she is getting some also . but all got fed

sun is out . and she is done. Going to cover the kids or shade them

Peter said she picked the food up that was already in there. Maybe stashes are empty. this is where we will really have to watch and see if there will be enough as youngsters get bigger.

One thing we noticed, the Chase is slimming down. Keeping busy hunting now
