Those videos really give a good perspective of the nest and the places where Polly and Algo hang out. Wish we could get Rickd to join BCAW. :hmmmm

Thanks for sending the invitation to RickD, kittenface. His videos are fabulous, and I hope he joins us here. Seeing a Peregrine Falcon splashing in the water is a very rare sight, so many thanks to RickD for capturing and uploading his video. :egg7:

Using Google Translate, this is the text he added to that video:

"That's the funny ..... was not hot at the time she was bathing, but Polly seemed to
love it. Remains to be seen if Algo will do the same."

That was fun to see! I've never been able to see anything like that in person. We only get to see the neighborhood robins and sparrows taking a bath in a large puddle we get in our driveway when it rains a lot. They seem to enjoy it, but I think this would be so much better with the cool, running water.

Thanks for sharing it here!

I welcomed Rick D. via PM and inquired about cams at Roger & Spirit's nest. He replied with this note (copied here with Rick's permission):

Presently because of the repairs they're doing to the tower where
the nest was located and other place next to the tower, there
wont be any web cams working this year.

One was set up via Eve office to watch if Roger and Spirit
would have choose one of the temporary nest box that
was installed before the work started to accommodating them
during the repairs.

Unfortunately Roger and Spirit didn't choose so far where they'll
be nesting for now, at least this is what I think from what I saw
presently....

There's 2 videos I've done when I was there yesterday.

This is what I saw when I arrived at the University at 1h00 pm:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qa3lMW8 ... ature=plcp

and this one :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXyB-GcPAHU

A few minutes later they had some vavvavoom on the cross
of the chapel...!

As for Polly and Algo their's a private wildlife management company
that keeps a eye on them beside me.The company name is:

http://faucon.biz/en.html

We know them and they've help us before with Roger and Spirit

They've been hired by the Transport Quebec to keep an
eye on them because of the construction work that's
done on the Turcot interchange where the nest of
Algo and Polly is located.

It's also that company who's involve in the installation
of the nest boxes on the bridges and at the interchange,
it's also them whom build these boxes.

Now as for them, the nesting season is going normally and we are
in the second week after the eggs where laid....this his base from
what I've observe at the University for the last 3 years with Eve.

Faucon.Biz seems to agreed with me, that the eggs have been
according to there observations.

If everything goes well we should see some little white heads
showing up by the end of April or early May.

Have a nice day,
