Pa had been egg most of morning etc. off and on

Just got up a bit ago but have been translating things that happened while I was sleeping and that is how I know that Pa has been in and out incubating and 2OR was eating by box .

But maybe ....

whatever we think , she is still showing all signs of preparing for egg. For some reason this one was laid early and so I think we should just sit back and learn.

my biologist friend says, jsut when you think you have them figured out, they fool you. And we have seen that so much in the last 2 years. Life is not always predictable

I was just watching the Beleef de Lente video clips from yesterday, and that third falcon is a real pain. He constantly harasses this pair; his surprise attacks are relentless. How can they concentrate on egg-laying with this guy around? I am beginning to think he is a thug. I hope that Bev is right and that these two will be fine.

All reports were of calm yesterday adn day before

And I have been watching also

They thought at first an attack and realized it was jsut a collision. One coming in and misjudged. I went through all the translations

But I could be wrong
It appeared O.K. yestrerday

The video clips I watched from yesterday showed a third falcon jumping on Pa three times; there were two video clips for March 22, one at 2:00 p.m. and then a later one, same thing. These clips are under "Laatste Clips". Then below, in Laatse weblogberichen (web blog), Paul Marcus says that the falcons are stressed because of the attacks. Are these the same ones you saw, Bev?

yes Elaine , those are same videos. The collision only happened once. they were showing the shot from the outside and then the inside. And like I said , they at first thought attack but then said it was jsut a miscalculation of 2OR. If it had been an intruder I am sure Pa would have gone after it

In second video that is a nest exchange. 2OR jsut sounds like a fog horn

From a ground observer . the last 2 days , they said all was calm.

Missy is on the eggs 10:15pm (was out for a few hours)and have to leave again but I will read the remarks and see what has happened while I was gone

so from what I can construe is; there may still be a young juvenile hanging around. Conflicting reports here.

So I guess it will jsut be a wait and see. I think , though, I do not like the idea of saying this female is not a good one.

Every circumstance is different.

Our biologists say, that while some may lay eggs and they all hatch, their first time, some do not .

Conflicting reports here also. Some say this is probably her first time and others say it is her second. So it is anyone's guess.

I hope someone over there who is in the know , can shed some light.

But I will not give up on her.

I remain optimistic.

I will be out for a bit now, but will check back

They cannot figure out why she is not on it. I f she is going to lay more eggs, this is not unusual. Some of us have seen this before. It is not too late.

She is sleeping at front door, with head tucked behind and egg is behind her

2OR left at about 3am adn went to side of box, out of sight

Hope today is a good day for out pair.

I am slowly fading but will try and stay up till an arrival.

I can hear a falcon calling. Hopefully it was because of hanky panky.
