I don't see the little guy this morning.

Finally, I see him messing around in the box. Checking out the leftovers.

Peter Here. Bev is at the site (whats new, eh!). She advises that the little one is somewhat elusive today, but has come out on to the netting and done a lot of wing flapping. He also goes to the back of the netting, where he is hard to see. I see some of you managed to get some shots of him in the back. Unfortunately, the way the cameras are positioned now, he is going to become more and more difficult to see. The parents have been stooping pigeons close by and Bev and the other watchers are being treated to quite a flying show right now. Both are hunting like mad right in front of Bev. They are awesome flyers. Chase has done several flybys trying to entice the little one. Unfortunately when it didn't work, he went and ate the food. Mind you there is lots of other food around.

It is still very hot here and I think that is why parents are hunting close and keeping the pigeon population stable around the area. Bev will be calling with updates and I will try and post when she calls. This working for a living does however interfere with real life. Good thing I am retiring again this year. Won't have to worry about the boss bothering me during fledge watch.

Tuesday July10th daytime.

Well 4 o'clock comes pretty early. by the time I get ready and everything , to get to site by 5 .

It was pretty calm today ,although there were moments where I thought he would take off. he did a lot of helicopter flapping. We can only stay on roof top till 11AM as the heat gets unbearable. So we head for shade below. the only thing is if he flies, we cannot see as well ,where he goes to.
Radisson gave here wings exercise early this morning, chasing the ravens out of territory. She gave the biggest one, a few big hits.

Then R and Chase put on quite the show of stooping pigeons, right in front of me. They are hunting a bit close becasue of heat. A few pass bys today , but they seemed content to keep the little one at home , with the heat.

that sinker Chase keeps taking food out of box if wee one does not eat right away.

I had quite a bit of help today for which I am grateful. It helps pass the time. tomorrow will be one where I have to spend a good part by myself . Jean and her grandchildren continue to be generous with watermelon and water top ups. With all the water I am putting away, you can guess where I have to trot off to a lot I have to talk to wee guy first, and tell him to stay put till I get back.

Chase still loves to be clsoe to Radisson. You have to really take a step back when he starts calling s he sounds like a juvenile still

The wee guy spent a lot of time resting in back today. but when he was up he would flap and hp like crazy.

Another lady stopped by today and will come tomorrow at noon so I can take a little break. the thing about being below is we talk to a lot of people but to be honest , a lot more have come and talked to us up top also. I even have a minister praying for us all.

I am hoping he is getting enough to eat, as I cannot see from the ground if he gets enough before Chase takes it away.

I am just sweltering at home also so I am going to sign off and head to bed.

Brandon should be next and then Genesse.

I have a few checking on Weber. The auto dealership seems quite interested this year. I four young guy flies well , I will take a hop down to Weber.

bev, I always enjoy your reports, and am so glad to hear that things are going well so far. We are learning Chase's personality through your observations. Thank you so much for what you do.
