:7val: Cam has been back a few hours. On the DVR, I caught Pa coming in with a stick @ 9:34 and he began pulling up the really deeply, buried, wet muck to dry. Then stood for awhile and he hopped to a branch and left 11 minutes later. Ma in with a short stick @ 9:48 followed by Pa with a big, unwieldy stick 4 minutes later. Then it begins!! :2val: They had a humongous tug-o-war that was not pretty in places. He tried to use his free talons to grab the stick for the advantage, but she was unrelenting! They even engaged in a big, beak-spat during this. When it looked as if she had the win, spitefully he took her short stick, she had brought earlier and placed it on the back rail. Then the tug continued. At times when she was about to lose balance during all this, she had to throw out her wings to catch herself and a feather flew. The stick ended up toward the front and left sides of the rail and Pa began the task of trimming the extraneous twigs from the stick, another quick spat ensues and then they both began to trim. Pa finished placing the stick and trimmed some more while she preened. Then he aerated a little. Afterwards, both stood looking around @ anything, but each other! :10val: Pa went to a branch @ 1003 and flew seconds later. Ma stood looking around for about 14 minutes before leaving @ 1017. I think this was the most ticked I've ever seen Pa. I'm sure everything will be hunky-dory on their return ... when cooler heads prevail! :15heartbeat:

:12val: Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say everything is hunky-dory, but they are getting there! Pa arrived @ 6:23 and stood awhile and then began aerating. Ma arrived @ 6:26 and stood there. They are looking at each other now, just not at the same time. Pa eventually stood in the bole and pulled fluff around him and they both just stood like this for awhile. At 6:45 Ma pulled up a fish from the large pile of fluff she was standing on and began to eat. This prompted Pa to busy himself eventually lying in the bole pulling fluff in and around his chest. At 6:49 Pa stood and Ma tried to wolf down the rest of the fish. At 6:51 Pa hopped to the branch on the right with only the tip of his tail within view and Ma finished off her fish. Pa came back into the nest and messed with the stick. Ma went to the front branch at 6:53 and flew out the front way, but I never saw her flying under the canopy to the back. Pa then adjusted the infamous stick (he has not forgotten) and eventually flew from the back of the nest to the back woods. :15heartbeat:

That is a long stick / branch / limb
darn near a tree!
.... well .....

I once saw an eagle fight with a weird branch - and finally dump it over the side!

:16val: Cam is back! Ma and Pa flew in together @ 7:01. They worked on the nest floor, sometimes in unison and so close together, they nearly bumped heads and beaks! (Pa pulled back once as if unsure of her intentions. :10val: ) Ma flew to the back woods @ 7:05 and Pa followed about 2 minutes later in the same direction. But, not before he stood and looked @ "the stick" when she was out of sight. He came very near to arranging it, but eventually flew instead! :12val:

Pa in @ 7:35 nest time to do nestorations, however I had to give up as I was getting the "COD" @ intervals, making it impossible to follow. Saw on chat it was a short visit.

:15heartbeat: Pa came in early tonight @ 5:10 on the DVR. He stood awhile and eventually pulled up something from the floor to eat. He stayed 35 minutes before leaving and Ma never showed up this eve that I could see. But, I did see her earlier this afternoon I believe it was. She was there for a long time. I think Pa was with her early on, but he left. She spread her wings and held them open and while facing the sun she sunbathed for quite a while before she left!

:15heartbeat: Ma in @ 6:32 this morning with Pa on her heels. Looked as if they were going to do some nestorations, but Ma left after a couple minutes and Pa followed about 5 minutes later.

Pa just left awhile ago and Ma preceded him by a few minutes. I came in this eve to find Ma on the nest alone. Chat was reporting they have been in many times today and Ma had actually arrived @ 5:45 tonight with Pa coming in @ some point and leaving, before I saw his return tonight. So Ma was approaching an almost 1 1/2 hour visit. Once he arrived, they did a few nestorations and messed with sticks separately. Although, neither missed these separate activities by the other with the sticks. Stick placement is very important to them! Ma apparently flew to the back woods, although you could not see this. But, I watched Pa track her as she flew out the front of the nest and eventually, he himself flew out the back and you could see him head for the woods!

Ma in @ 6:22 cam time and Pa a minute later. Very little nestorations, mainly they stood around looking about. Pa left after just a few minutes and Ma stayed almost 15 minutes.

Pa in alone @ a little after 6:30 to do some deeper aerations and looked at the railings. He left about 15 minutes later heading to the back and I thought that was it for the night. But, he returned near 7 with a stick to place to the rail and left shortly afterwards. Ma arrives @ about 7:05 and did some aerations, but left for the night about 5 minutes later.
