:flirty: Both are home tonight to sleep and can be seen on cam 1. I know Samson brought in at least 1 stick later today and Gabby spent about 3 hours here this afternoon, only to return a little later. There's a pic of the barred owl that visited earlier at site. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:34 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Our resident stars are roosting at home tonight perched near each other after their barred owl interruption. It was a persistent little thing. All is fine in the pine, tho! SED Samson and Gabrielle and SED to all! Our thoughts and prayers remain with those affected by the west coast fires and Sally plowing thru the SE. Be safe everyone!

:1val: Samson nor Gabby appear to be on the nest tree tonight. I am unable to scroll past the 3:45 mod report from this morning to see what took place today and getting the COD on the cams.

Able to get The Tuck from Thursday eve now on 9?18/20:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Yesterday at 7:39 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: I guess the threatening weather prevented Samson and Gabrielle to come home tonight. We didn't see them in the LY or ET either. I'm sure they are roosting where they are protected. SED to everyone!

:1val: Greens and sticks brought to the nest this morning per Samson and Gabby. Samson brought a stick tonight and they both visited before going to the Evening Tree to possibly sleep for the night. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:15 PM
FRIDAY TUCK-IN: It was a sweet visit at the nest tonight by our resident eagles, Samson and Gabrielle. They know their home! At 7:22pm one by one they flew off in the Evening Tree (ET) direction. Sure enough that's where they were.....fully tucked. SED Samson and Gabrielle and to all!

:1val: Samson and Gabby are not spending the night on the nest tree. Both brought sticks in this morning for the nest and Gabby visited again early this afternoon. It ended up raining today. The Tuck:

Glenn reports a very drenched eagle on the lyt!

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:07 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN: The turbulent weather prevented us from tucking tonight. You can be sure our eagles are tucked in a safe and protected place. Weather in the Hamlet looks like intermittent rain for the next 24 hrs. Stay safe everyone in the path of the storms, wildfires and potential flooding. SED to all

:1val: Both Samson and Gabby came to the nest and tree several times today, but not spending the night here so far. Samson brought in at least 3 sticks for the nest today. Gabby is on the ET per "The Tuck":

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:20 PM
SUNDAY TUCK-IN: We didn't see Samson tonight at the nest or LY or the area. Gabrielle was perched in the ET across the street from the nest when we arrived. She probably flew there when she left the nest at 5:03pm. She was also there when we left at dark. It started to rain. It's possible Samson was up there with her, but thru the windshield in the rain, it was impossible to confirm. He's likely close by and they will meet up in the morning. I did see Samson perched off-site this afternoon near the ocean where he often perches. Be safe everyone!

:1val: I think Samson brought several sticks to the nest today and Gabby at least one. They are not on the nest tree tonight, but close by per mod. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:56 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: We found the rascals! Samson was perched in the ET across the street. No sign of Gabby there. We checked the LY and area and nada. Passing back by the ET there was Gabby perched in a tree near the ET. I'm sure they are roosting there for the night and very close to each other and a quick flight to the nest. I'm sure the strong winds over the past few days are wearing on them. They are tough birds, tho. SED to everyone!

:1val: Both Samson and Gabby were in today and brought sticks to the nest. Samson also brought a fish in ... for himself!! They are not on the tree tonight. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:32 PM
TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Those rascals stood us up tonight at the nest and the nest area. You can be sure they are nearby but found another tree to roost in tonight......they have many choices! SED Samson & Gabrielle! SED to all!

:1val: Samson and Gabby are not home tonight, but Samson was here early this morning with a stick for the nest. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:18 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Another "no show" tonight at the nest and the Hamlet area. One was spotted off-site this afternoon, but perhaps they are taking a little break from the nest action. Romeo and Juliet did that early in the season. They will return! SED to all!

:1val: Samson did not show up till this evening and he left and came back with a stick. Gabby showed up to help. Samson is on the ET and most likely Gabby joined him there for the night. The Tuck and an update:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:48 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Well, our star eagles didn't disappoint our "Birthday Girl", jd_AEF! Sam arrived at the nest this evening, and soon Gabrielle arrived. They were busy doing nestorations, and then Samson flew across the street to the ET. Will he return or will he stay? Nice to have them back in the Hamlet tonight where we can see them! SED to all!

jd_AEF#3811 Today at 8:20 PM
Guess Gabrielle got lonely...she flew off to join Samson. Both can be heard vocalizing in the distance so they are likely both at the ET or thereabouts.

:1val: Nobody home tonight. This morning Samson brought several sticks to the nest and Gabby brought 3! The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:18 PM
FRIDAY TUCK-IN: We didn't see our stars tonight, but I bet they will show up in the morning! SED y'all!

:1val: Gabby is on Lookout Point tonight. Unknown where Samson is. He spent time on the tree this morning and came back early this eve and Gabby joined him, but he left. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:33 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Samson and Gabrielle both arrived at the nest tonight before 7:15pm. They spent most of the time together on LOP. Gabrielle was whining a lot. They were darling. Samson later flew and is likely across the street at the ET. If vocals are heard, it's easy to tell. At this time Gabrielle is still perched on LOP and fully tucked. SED y'all

:1val: Nobody on the tree tonight and looks to be a heavy rain. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Tomorrow at 2:21 AM

SUNDAY TUCK-IN: The Hamlet and surrounding area had torrential rain this evening. Samson ended up on the LYT drenched and likely still there or in the LY. We didn't see Gabrielle tonight, but she's likely in a secluded spot for the night. We had a fabulous Bonus Chat this evening. Thank you to all the chatters that joined in. SED to all and stay safe out there!

:eggthumb: Samson did end up spending the night on the nest tree last night as he flew in at 10:10 pm. After he left at about 7:00 this morning he went to the LYT and MATED with Gabby as witnessed by part of the ground crew!! :7val:

The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Tomorrow at 2:18 AM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: Later in the afternoon again today the Hamlet experienced torrential rain, thunder and lightning. However, our ground crew, Glenn, soon saw Samson and Gabrielle both fly in together and land on the LYT. They arrived with sweet welcome vocals. They remained there until a couple walked by with a large dog. Not sure that spooked our eagles, but they flew off. We searched a spot where they often frequent, as they flew in that direction, but no luck. However, Samson returned later and is perched and likely roosting tonight in a pine in the LY. It's highly likely Gabby arrived there too when it was too dark to view. P.S. Glenn spotted them mating on the LYT early this morning. SED to all!
