:eggthumb: Watched parts of Wskrsnwings video from this morning and the nest is coming along with especially M15 bringing several sticks from the ground up to the nest. The base of the nest still moves sometimes with activity, so not anchored as yet. They had a stick war and spat and rest in between bringing in the sticks and placing. Near the end of the 30 something minute video M15 attempts to mate and Harriet was vocal, so another break to rest. They are moving right along with operation build and both are looking great!

:loveheart: Had trouble reading it at 1st, but once your eyes adjust to the message in red at top left of screen, it says: "Not enough power for both camera and pan tilt motors"

:eggthumb: One of the eagles came in after dark and is currently sleeping on the nest with their head tucked, possibly Harriet.

:eggthumb: Both were on the nest before dark and they seemed to head up higher in the nest tree, so maybe spending the night. Also, both were on the nest some during the day.

:eggthumb: Still working on their nest. Have been seeing them throughout the day, but nobody on the nest right now. One of them was on the nest while still dark this morning at 5 something.

:eggthumb: Nobody on the nest for now. Never know if they are just above on a branch and may drop down later. Both have been on the nest for nestorations and working together today. A few spats over stick placement. Saw a video of them working and fussing and Harriet even stepped on M15's head at one point, but he is okay!

:mooncat: Not seeing anyone on the nest right now. This morning at dawn they seemed to drop down to the nest from the branches above. They continue to work. Saw both of them several times today, but not recently.

:mooncat: You can actually see both Harriet and M15 on the branch tonight. I tried to dig and find out about the new view as only the nest has been showing, but no matter which cam you pick below the view, they all say cam1 and show them on the branch side by side. I never could find out about the new view showing and in IR.

:mooncat: Not sure what is going on, but unable to get the cam this evening. Did see them go to their nest this am after spending the night on the nest tree. They mated also early this am.

:mooncat: From cam 1 you can see the close up of Harriet and M15 on the attic branch right now. Cams 2 and 3 are showing the same view and says it is cam 3 which is the distant view of the nest tree and they can be seen here too.

:mooncat: They had an intruder around this morning. Tonight both are there. He on the attic branch and she in the nest, although she looks small to me in it and he looks kind of large on the branch...

:mooncat: A fire broke out across the road and away from the nest, but it could be seen from the cam and coverage starts at 22:21. Harriet did not end up staying in the nest overnight and you can see her go to the attic during the fire. Have tried to find out what was actually on fire, but no luck so far. Will add if found. Video is by Lady Hawk:

WOW! That is scary.

Update from Lady Hawk:

"October 30th 2022 ~ Here is an update on the fire from last night. There were two separate brush fires and about 40 acres have burned. No homes were lost or lives. There are no reported damages to homes in the area and people who live on Lost Lane have voluntarily evacuated. The fire is now 100% contained. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Many thanks to the Bayshore Fire Rescue, North Fort Myers Fire Department, and the Florida Forrest service for their prompt containment of the fire!

:mooncat: Gigi, I am confused. The link takes you to a fire in 2019. In chat today one of the mods said:

samour17: Hi LoveMyBaby. Yes the fire was about 12 miles away and apparently a residential fire. Was pretty scary when we first noticed it.

Later in chat one of the chatters said it was "from a generator", but that house fire was 2 days ago from my research today. This fire was burning at night when I saw it and I know Lady Hawks fire video I posted from the eagle cam shows a fire well in progress at 22:21 on 10/29/22.

Tonight Harriet is back on the nest and M15 is on the attic branch.

I'll remove the link. I copied and pasted from the update and did not open the link since the written info was sufficient. Thanks for calling it to my attention!

:mooncat: Harriet is not on the nest right now, but can see 1 eagle on the attic and 1 up above the attic on a limb.
