:15heartbeat: While we are unable to access the cams apparently the cam op has some access as they are reporting Harriet on the attic and Samson on the outer attic as darkness fell.

:15heartbeat: Cams remain down, but both have been seen this morning. M15 brought Harriet a roadkill squirrel to the nest that she claimed per cam op!

:15heartbeat: Mod reports Harriet and M15 were perched in the nest tree as night fell. As far as the cams for our access:

Feb 14, 5:55 PM
RobertoD (Admin): Good evening everyone. At this point we can not give any specific information as far as when the cams might be back online. Members of the team are able to access the cam, so the power works. The "problem" appears to be between the servers and youtube. So it is most likely an issue with the internet service providers between "here" and "there". Whatever is causing the issue is out of our hands, and if we do receive any updates, we will post the information here in chat.

:15heartbeat: Harriet is sleeping in the nest tonight and the mod reported M15 flew west at dark, but I see him on the outer attic right now, so he flew back in at some point!

:15heartbeat: 10:08 At some point, I see Harriet has moved to the outer attic to be with M15!

:girlsad3: Crow report on E14 (a male):

E14 Necropsy Report

The liver tissue of E14 from the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam nest, a male eaglet, was found to contain markedly increased levels of brodifacoum, a type of anticoagulant rodenticide or rat poison.

Anticoagulant rodenticides, or rat poisons, prevent the blood from clotting normally and cause an animal that has ingested a toxic amount to bleed to death. Rodents that ingest the poison often become disoriented or lethargic as they are dying and become easy prey for eagles, hawks, owls and other predators, passing the poison through the food chain. Sadly, it is not uncommon for apparently healthy raptors to test positive for low levels of rodenticides, which have not yet reached the point of causing toxicity and illness. The adults in the nest likely have chronic exposure to rodenticides from the same food sources, but are not currently suffering any ill effects due to their larger body size compared to the affected baby.
