 Thanks Loza.....great videos! Looks like these two are eating well and better behaved than before. Both kids were not very interested in that feed. It's warmer at this nest than at the northeast nest. Temp in Fort Myers is 65 degrees. Harriet is brooding on and off.

That last photo is too cute. I did see some bonking earlier. The one being bonked immediately did a beak plant and avoided any more.

 Watching the feeds here are a real hoot when Harriet and M15 are together! This time M15 was trying to feed the chicks (did get a few bites in them), but while I was watching Harriet removed the food from his beak just as he was about to be successful in getting a bite in one of his babes and she gave it to them or she took the bite for herself. He really wants to feed them so badly, but she feels it is her duty!!

| We've got one of them out of the nest bowl taking a nap near the rails!! Edit: The other one has climbed out of the bowl to join him!! All are awake now!

Watching it now just as wskrsnwings realizes it is roadkill and goes to move it. I keep a small shovel in my car just for moving roadkill away from traffic. I do love to listen to wskrsnwings. So much dedication and love. Waiting for the pellet. The sweet sounds of peeps. Oh my! A little bit of heaven! Wish I could be there to hear them. |
