I am not sure what but something is up out there. The other male has been in but not long each time. when Dixie was in , he skirted by.

read report. I hope the new male is flying with kids and not chasing them off. will think sportive and I still hope Yankee is o.k. We all kn it would be hard for him to defend his site with that bad leg . but what a steadfast male he has been through it all.
I keep my cam up at night in hopes he will sneak in to sleep, but I somehow think the other male is keepign watch

Both had a very long bonding session at the box. Started with Dixie in the box and he (I am blocking his name..geeeeez) Then he came into the box with Dixie. Lots of bowing.

...unfortunately I had a computer crash and lost the pics.

Dixie and red banded male at box today

Both were at the box yesterday (Monday) as well...

And male is there now.

Report form Carol on FB Peregrine Place. Both Dixie and Hickory seen bonding at nestbox. Carol stated the 3rd day without seeing the juvies...

So..has Dixie moved them out of the area for safety?..... (here's my biggest fantasy)..Yankee is still out there and has taken them out of the area..how's that for a big wish!!

Someone posted a response to Carol…sounds like Dixie with the juvies.

“I saw 3 falcons dipping and diving between Squire and Kimball yesterday morning (about 6:50am), about even with my office on the 10th floor. They were moving off toward Goodyear.”

When an adult comes in so late , it is always a worry for the juveniles, so I will be positive.

And I am hoping that Yankee is out there somewhere. We always think they will fight till end , especially with juveniles out there. But that is not always the case. They are so smart, and sometimes know, when they are out mastered. Yankee was the best. I cannot say, how in awe I always was and am , of him.
Even with that foot, he provided for Dixie and his broods. He had to fend off attackers, acI saw on cam,
So Yankee, I hope you are out there , watching from a safe distance.

I'm with you, Bev...I'm still hoping he is out there somewhere...I think that's why I keep the cam up so much...hoping he'll pop in.

Unfortunately, he's gonna run into opposition if he gets near the box...as this new male is there so much...

Dixie is currently at the box...great to see her!!

He/she's back and sitting to the left of the nestbox.

I've been over to the site with my binoculars and didn't see anything! Boo. Timing is everything with the birds. Anyways I am hoping someday we will see Yankee again. The new guy in town, Hickory is his name I think, has surely taken over the box.
