if you look at my vidoe, I got a prey exchange last night also

I will have cam recording today as much as I can. must be hot . they are panting already

I am in and out but have cam recording. will post a video tonight. ( cannot shut my cams down)

I videoed because Yankee just moves like he was never injured, so I think some are looking for this stumbling bird, , and he does not do that anymore. it appears to have calcified below band and so that gives him support and strength, Just in my opinion.
I also saw him in box with chicks last night. will look and see if I saved it. It was hard to tell, but I saw his thicker leg, foot.
so far so good. I ma sure Dixie will help hunt now also. I ma glad only 2 hatched. it makes it easier this year

yankee was back this afternoon.

what i have noticed is, that their stash must be real close. When she brought in prey and took it out, sh e flew down and was back in less than a minute. she went out again , and came back with bigger prey, in about 1.5minutes( so no time to catch it ), took it out and was back in a bout a minute and a half.
not saying she is not helping with hunting, just that stash is close by.

Thank you Bev! I believe they keep their stash right above them on some ledges with nooks and crannies.

Dixie is a good mom - always making sure each baby gets their fair share of the meal.

Looks like the last meal was a Blue Jay already plucked when Dixie brought it in, so must have been from a food cache somewhere. Babies were in a food coma after...Dixie tried to give them more!
