Still only 3 chicks on cam view....they are panning right now...I guess to see if they can spot Chick #4...and the answer is? Nope..no sign of chick #4 on cam.

The little bugger could be anywhere on that roof, there is a nice deep jump down it there, but ir it would jump up and miss a step. Well I don't want to think about that. just hope it slept OK by its self last night

I've had the cam open almost all morning...Only seeing 1. They've done some panning with no luck finding the other 3..

After a wicked storm blew over, another of the Chicks fledged (well, sort of), but wound up in the parking lot below. It was rescued by B.L. and he returned it to the rooftop with it's other 2 siblings that had already fledged to the rooftop. Only one more to go. Enjoy.

Well, the kids have returned..and depending on who is where, either 2 or 3 have been on the nest building..

Then there were 2 next to the box...and playing on the roof..either this is two different ones or the one on the sign flew up to the roof..don't know which..

Parent arrived with food..but, no takers...and parent left..I guess maybe everybody followed? not sure

Imagine my surprise when I was able to successfully capture the youngest male and Boreas on the platform this afternoon. It's the FIRST time I've seen ANY of the Chicks return to the platform. Enjoy!!!

Imagine my surprise when I was able to capture the youngest male with Boreas this afternoon. I am elated, cause this is the FIRST time I've seen ANY of the Quads actually return to the platform since they Officially fledged. Enjoy.

Falcon Watchers -

We've had no reports of any injured or killed falcons and we see the chicks and adults routinely, so we believe that the family is all still healthy. We tend to spot them perched on our Westar signs and communications tower.

Names were chosen based on popular suggestions from previous years and traits.

The names are as follows:
Shawnee: Reference to Shawnee county, Kansas. Where Topeka is located.
Kansa: Short for Kansas. Also reference to Native American tribe.
Galvani: Reference to famous discoverer/inventor of electricity.
Volta: Reference to famous discoverer/inventor of electricity. Fitting of his traits.
