grrrrrrrrrrrr....Durand just returned to the box, without the food, and got on the eggs...

spark just brought more food...durand left with it...spark now at the eggs...

they are totally confused about this baby...Durand has returned WITHOUT food...

These pics go with my 5:34 post

spark hands off to Durand, who leaves with prey

Spark enters, goes to the eggs (baby is crying through this all)

Durand returns almost immediately, with no prey and gets back on the eggs..

...Durand got up about 3 minutes ago to check on "whatever is making all that noise"....baby is still crying...

and now, I must reboot...slow as molasses here...

me too, Carly...but, I'm starting to think it is...I think it would have come in when the food arrived...and food came twice..

Durand went an did checks at 6:10 and again at 6:12.

I'm not hearing it right now...

No...I caught a really good feed around 10:00...and wasn't able to watch again until the afternoon, when I found Durand on the eggs and baby AWOL...

I don't think Donna has a permit to remove the eggs (would have to get one. I don't think they have "standing permits" here~or whatever they're called)...I'm more concerned with whether the baby is stuck...I can't think of a logical reason as why it didn't come in when food arrived

This reminds me of a few years ago, they had the same issue, on a Sunday I believe. Baby got out and couldn't get back in. Had it foot wedged between box and ledge... Remember that. It was Scout's last year.

If you look at the picture Donna posted on her block, there's a good drop from the box porch. I honestly don't think Baby is big enough to get back up if she did fall off.

They did fix that area...here's a pic

Donna doesn't know of anyway that the baby could get wedged between the wall and the box. could it have wedged itself between the cam pole and the wall and can't figure out how to back out of it?

I think the baby is over near the cam somewhere...that's where Durand keeps looking when she gets up..

Yes...I think its definitely stuck or trapped...and I do remember the situation with Scout...it was before the "porch" was put in. That baby had gotten stuck in a crack or something..

The difference is I remember how distraught Scout was and how she tried to free the baby. Durand, at this point, is just confused or something...

I think Baby is stuck in the same place that the one got stuck last time.

The place where the baby was stuck in 2010 is now covered with plywood. That's the "porch"...After they rescued that baby in 2010, they put down that wood to block off those cracks...

I agree with Scout's reaction being complete different. Durand just seems out of it...

Looking at the pictures with the porch, I can see little one getting his foot stuck in area where box & porch meet, in front of cam. In the picture I've linked below, near the yellow stain..

Poor Donna, she's just as much a 'mom' to these kids born on the ledge as the falcons are.

I'm sure she can...but, probably will have to wait until the morning...that's what happened last time..with it getting dark, too dangerous to go out on the ledge..

mwplay, that's a possibility..but, I would think we would see flailing wings like we did last time..we are seeing nothing..

Well, I'll keep monitoring...that's all we can do. I just pray it hasn't hurt itself...I also hope that Durand can snap out of this and go provide some comfort or something..

There should be another feed coming closer to dark, if they stick with that schedule.. who knows..

I am not hearing it right now...probably wore itself out...
