I just checked back to last years nesting calendars.

Last year first and second egg were 3 days apart. This is day 3 after first egg. So not to worry
Same at San Jose and some were 4 days apart so as I said I really do think, it is jsut waiting game. Just like humans. False labor, a few ice cubes etc, here a few pebbles between friends

She is probably keeping moving or sitting . Seh will hve to spend enough time at nest box once all eggs are laid, so best take advantage when she can

Good of you to check Bev. I was starting to get a little worried. I seem to remember a delay between eggs for Lil, but didn't know which one in the clutch.

And like I mentioned above, SF has watchers, but info out is not as consistent as San Jose's group. So if there were intruder issues, not sure we would know. We didn't know about 2nd pair a few blocks away until after the season ended.

jsut noticed someone back . I think male by head and was doing a bit of scootching

But I am not sure. Do not think I missed an egg lying as I was not away long.

I've had one eye on the cam, but hard to assess the situation when you can't see the entire view. Glad you looked up and saw the 3 day time lapse last year, because I too was getting worried and not just about the overdue egg but all the up and down activity on the nest.

someone there, they are watchful but then we see that a lot. not looking anxious. I did not see any of that today. both got off nest slowly

there seems ot be a slight hesitation on cam. they are not there and suddenly they are in box etc.

3:27pm she came in about 3:16and then went inot stance for about 9 minutes

She is in egg laying stance

She came in went into mode for 9 minutes and now up and back in stance

She went off in a flash and I really thought this was it.can she hear the cam if it is moving
