Cam 2 is back up again!!

12:25 - Male arrives on deck at food corner - normally DC's entry point. B is in box, bowing over egg, chupping, not making move to leave.

12:27 male just flew.

In the bottom picture, even though she's bowing over her egg, I take this as a "don't mess with me buddy" look. She's chupping rapidly, and I can't explain it, but there is a different tone to the chup - I almost want to say a trumpet effect. I know that doesn't really give a good explanation, but it's different to my ear.

It's the same look she gave after she laid the egg and DC came to visit. He didn't stay long then, and he didn't stay long this time. This is an all business look. Not making any room for a visitor to the box... In my opinion.

12:28 - B to lip of box. Looking out. Alert. Following, but quiet.

12:37 - B tracking something in distance. There's DC's "incoming/outgoing" call. I think he may be above her now.

She is still standing on the lip of nestbox. Not perched. Standing.

12:51 - She's still standing, but doing a little preening and stretching.

12:15: BS drive by. Miss p on North West extension.
12:56 : BS drive by. Right now drive by someone is enjoying out here with some very good flying.
1:01: Brighton. Believe I had 2 echjppimg.. I cannot be sure.

Someone was probably visiting P. Done there, then came up here to see if Ms B needed anything, then left to go back and see if Ms P needs anything.

1:09 pm

On phone right now, but I can see B getting a little chuppy. She's looking up now.

Maybe DC is back to visit.

2:05 - just saw that B flew off, but not sure if she was flying to meet DC, or what.

2:12pm Can hear male chirping in distance (above). Pretty squeaky. I'm sure he will come down soon.

Fly-by was visible. Cam 4. Incoming call. To deck - "food corner" between main cam and small platform/porch. To box.

It's DC.

Onto his egg.

And he's a cheep cheeping.. Likes to keep in communication with Ms B.

2:24 to front lip of box. Looking out. Looking up. Scratching. Cleaning up his talons.

To beam. Calling for B "AH AH AHHHHH". Calling again.

Just flew south 2:26 after some head bobbing.

Think there may have been a canoodle..

2:29 - I believe B arrives back silently at digestion corner 2:29 (other side of main cam, corner of deck).

Yep. To beam. Silent. Looking up.

Earlier today (12:25-12:26pm) male was on deck. Very short visit. Band were not visible and there was a question on who it could be.

Here are 2 comparison photos which lead me to believe this was definitely DC, besides just behavioral characteristics:

Monday, 4/15, 7:58PM - After making a food delivery:

4:09 B on beam chupping. Looking up. Moves into box. To front lip of box, looking up, chupping.

She's now calling for him.

4:12 - back to beam, then flew off.

4:13 - Incoming!

DC to food corner (between main cam and little side platform). Calling for B.

Chirp Chirp.

B just came back and almost landed on DC on food corner!

I think she might be closer to #2 than we realize. Watch her. When he arrived, she had that sort of "I don't feel good look" on her face.

They were trying to zoom cam in on DC when B made her sudden appearance. She still looks a little off. She just waddled to box. Looking up.

I think she's about to go into labor. I don't think she wants him around when she's in labor. She did this same looking towards the box for a few minutes the other day, before she got in and started laying.

Also, before she flew off, her tail looked a little weird, with some funky movements... Anybody see that?

I think that was DC. He's got the white feather on his right shoulder.

Plus, she was calling for him. I never heard her call for UT when he was here. She chattered with him, but no calling.

Sorry..

Before she took off from box, it looked to me like she held it really tight and it was sort of twitchy. Maybe it's just the wind, but she's got a sort of stare to her.

Also, right before she turned around the other day, she had her eyes closed a lot. You can look at archives and see that. I think that's happening here, now.

If you look at cam 3 archives for last few minutes, her abdomen looks pretty full.

Probably just my imagination..

Yep.. The landing on him part got me too!

That was really weird.

You know.. I hope she's not getting bothered by another bird right now. I'm here thinking it's him, but maybe it isn't.

But I'm not sure why's she's calling him like that if she doesn't want him around? Unless that's a "go away" yell.

Is there no one withering from ground???

Joyce: DC is on NE wing and B at the NB. Pretty quiet while waiting for the 2nd egg.
