Oh my word...I just watched that vid...I must say, I don't think I have ever seen a chick swallow a band before. I'm sure it happens all the time with the adults. I just read that babies can cast pellets as early as 2 weeks of age..

From the SCPBRG FAQ'S

If a small chick gets too much food at once, it may spit the food back out. Also, it may have been casting. Peregrines will cough up pellets of undigested material, such as feathers and small pieces of bone, at least as early as 2 weeks of age.

Good Morning!!

Just heard DC's call at about 9:47am. Maybe he's getting a meal prepped, or just saying "Hi"!

Looking forward to what fun things we get to see today!

Already 80F/26C in the box!

9:50AM - DC just arrived on corner of deck near little platform, calling. I think he has food. Yes, he does. I think he wants Beauty to come get it. Into box he goes. Beauty is out. Dad is gong to feed.

Snack looks to be a blue jay.

Couldn't figure out what the black thing in the nest was this morning. Well, I'm reading and can also see in some of the pictures posted here that B & DC are starting a head collection! First up...Starling!

12:28pm - B back, chupping and DC on corner other side of main cam calling.

I can't tell if DC has food.

B chupping to babies..

Does not appear DC has any food, but is sitting on deck. Now walking towards box, on other side of beam looking down. Wonder if he dropped his package?

12:30 - B just flew off. DC to box.

12:31 - B returns with food. DC takes food and flew off. B remained in box.

12:32 - now she has flown off. Kids are waking up and starting to hunger cry.

12:34 - B returns. No food. Chupping to kids.

DC with kids-brought no food.

wnyfalconfan (Joyce): Brian says: I had Pefa hunting, it rose up out of sight above library. Aint got a clue who it was.

Must have been B-DC was on porch at that time.

WanderingFalcon (Carol P.): DT. Thanks Ei! Larry O here now. Still no DC. B just cached the leftovers on the base of mercury and back to the NB.

(Kathy O): DT falcon report - DC standing guard on top arm FCT

What a hard day for them, with the heat.

Is'n't it funny how they are quiet? Almost like parents who sneak into their kids rooms so as not to wake them.
