Good grief, I thought she had prey in there to begin with. She was really packing in the rocks. :shock:

Spark needs to go get some breakfast.
I can already see that I am going to worry myself to death over these two this season. :snowflake3:

Is that how those stones got over by the cam?! She reguritated them there? That isn't good if she's wolfing down too many...say's to me she isn't digesting properly...The stones are needed for digestion, i realize but eating too many is a sign of issues....
Not saying this to cause alarm, but it's something worth watching her with extra dilligence.....

I think that was Spark in the box eating rocks. I've seen him do that before..not sure how the boy even flies after eating those things. .

I've never seen either of them throw any up. .but, that really doesn't mean anything...I rarely see either cast a pellet. .

But, we can keep watch..just in case!!! :snowflake2:

Tuned in to ledge cam to find someone on far ledge, watching something in the distance, head bobbing. Then took off.

My cam froze during the take-off, so can't say if it was Durand or Spark, just saw a falcon take off & then gone.

I think Spark was on the ledge, chupping. Looked around, then took off.

Sounded like Spark - the higher pitched voice.

Was really hoping he'd go in the box....

A falcon is sitting atop the nestbox. Cannot ID, but would think it is a male? Hopefully Spark.

2 birds. One on ledge in front of ledge cam.

1 in box.

Bird on ledge banded. Can't see bands.

Can't see legs on bird in box.

ETA: They were talking to each other. They may have had more interaction, and I may have missed it. Just turned cams on to see them.

Bird in box just went to top of box.

Bird is still on ledge, popping in and out of view of cam.

If this is Durand and Spark, honestly, it's very strange behavior since they both seemed comfortable in the box together during the "off" season.

3:11PM - bird on box just flew off from top of box.

I'm guessing bird on ledge left earlier, but was out of cam view.
