Beautiful portrait of CJ, right? He looks blue and dark-headed, even though his cheek looks whiter than it sometimes does. Right next to the camera so he doesn't look as little as he does when he's all the way across the box.

Another feeding going on now, plus some great news posted this afternoon on Kim's Wilmington Falcons Facebook page:

"Just a quick post to say that Craig Koppie is returning the fourth chick today! Yay!"

OMG! I just saw a hand reach in and place the fourth chick in the box. It's the one on the right side of the nest box.

Our fourth chick is home again. Yay!!!

This is such exciting news....I am so glad he/she is home...I was thinking Craig might wait until banding for the return, but so happy he/she is back...

But, they have got to stop hiding in the corners...I think I see 2 up in the right, but not sure...wait..maybe its one..I just can't tell...

Very happy news!! Now if they'd get out of the corners so we can see them! Well, as frequently as these kids get fed, we shouldn't have to wait long to see them. :flirty:

Edit: Actually CJ is in the box now checking on them. No, that may have been Red Girl.

I have no idea if the baby is the one up top, but if it is, then this one is going over to say hello..it came from the bottom pile)

I was watching, too. Looks like the parent (although it can't count) realizes something is different in the nest. Little one apparently decided to stop being bashful & made his way down to the others, taking a dump along the way, then squeezed his way to the front of the line!

Could you tell whether they were being fed, mwplay? I thought that's what the parent was doing down there, but it may have just been "protecting" their kids since a human was at the box earlier.

Hi Cat.

I can't be 100% positive, but I don't think they were getting fed. I had the window open in the background and just happened to bring it forward and saw the parent.

This is great news. Can see three in the bottom corner of my computer screen right now, but have seen them in the upper right of my screen, too. Guess we'll have to wait for a feeding to see them all. I'm sure Craig thought the little one was fine or he wouldn't have put it in there. Certainly hope so.

I agree. Since he went to the trouble of taking the little one for help, I don't believe he would put it back if e didn't think its OK now.
