CHICKS START FLY HOPPING DOWN THE LEDGE. NIECEY GETS NERVOUS, GETS OFF THE STICK AND STARTS PICKING AT STUFF BESIDE THE SCRAPE. GOES AROUND BACK AND IN THE BACK DOOR PICKING AT STUFF IN THE SCRAPE. ALL THE CHICKS SCREAMING AT HER AND CLOSE TO HER TOO, BUT SHE'S NOT AFRAID AT ALL. SHE THEN GOES UP ON THE SCRAPE AND THEN FLIES OFF. MAYBE FOR SOME FOOD :-)

NIECEY BRINGS FOOD, ONE TAKES IT. NIECEY GOES OVER LOOKING IN THE WINDOW. NOW SHE'S STANDING ON THE LEDGE WATCHING THE CHICKS EAT. SMALLER CHICK WAS IN THE SCRAPE, CAME TO JOIN THE ONE WHO TOOK THE FOOD.

LIL DAD JUST BROUGHT MORE FOOD, THE ONE DOWN BY THE SCRAPE TOOK IT AND RAN BEHIND THE SCRAPE. NIECEY GOT IT AND IS FEEDING THAT ONE. WAS HOPING LIL DAD WOULD TAKE THE FOOD FROM THE OTHER TWO THAT WERE SHARING TRYING TO EAT, BUT HE'S GONE NOW.

I was watching the chicks, both parents arrived apparently together, with food. Now feeding Reenie's Little Man behind the scrape. Didn't notice which parent is feeding. I didn't notice whether the one behind the orange post came down, but there were 2 in front of the glass. Now one of those has gone to eat.

Edit: The one behind the post is looking like he'll head down to eat. These kids act like they're starving, but we know that isn't the case with the great parents they have! :flirty:

These chicks are well mannered, and haven't really seen a food fight. If you want to see what a food fight looks like, look at Page 22 of Red Girl's chicks having it out in the nest box in Wilmington.

LOOKS LIKE THE TWO GIRLS IN THE SCRAPE, LIL MAN ON THE LEDGE BY THE STICK AND POSSIBLY ANOTHER BOY BY THE WINDOWS. I'LL BE CLOSING THE POLL NOW, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE JUST WHAT THESE GENDERS ARE AND WHICH ONE IS YELLOW LEGS/FEET, I THINK A GIRL!

BOY, THEY ARE PLAYING NOW! WELL SOME OF THEM. THAT'S IT KIDS, WEAR YOURSELF OUT SO YOU ARE SLEEPING WHEN THE MEN COME OUT TO GET YOU :-)

HATE THE FACT THAT IT WILL BE SO HOT AND HUMID FOR LIL DAD AND NIECEY TO BE RAISING CANE IN :-(

THESE KIDS ARE GOING TO GIVE US A HEART ATTACK! THAT ONE WITH THE MOST FEATHERS WAS SITTING ON THE END DOWN THERE BOBBING IT'S HEAD! GEEZE, IT CAME BACK WITH THE TWO BY THE POLE. OK, THERE'S THE 4TH ONE THAT WAS BEHIND THE SCRAPE EATING A LITTLE BIRD.

I've been watching for an hour or so. Saw Lil Dad behind the scrape earlier. And one of the chicks was fooling with the woodpecker head that is back there. It would be nice if the chicks were fed around 11, and then they could sack out for a while. Am praying for the safety of the chicks, both adults, and the folks from the Game Commission. It's almost 70 degrees already, and very humid here.

ONE OF THE CHICKS FOUND SOME NESTOVERS AND IS EATING IN THE SCRAPE WHILE ONE IS LAYING DOWN OUTSIDE THE BACK DOOR WATCHING. ONE STANDING BY POLE AND ONE PANCAKED THERE.

LIL DAD DEFEATHERED ON THE POINT. ENDED UP DROPPING IT OFF TO THE CHICKS BY THE POLE. ONE WAS WORKING ON IT. NIECEY WENT AND STOOD ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POLE, BUT THEN WENT DOWN TO THE POINT. KIDS GAVE UP AND NIECEY HAS THE FOOD TO FEED THEM NOW.
