One other quirk of Durand's...if she sees a bug or ant or anything crawling in the pebbles, she will fixate on it for a few minutes and track its movements...Falcon entertainment, I guess...

I can't hear high pitched sounds at all, but can remember people saying they could hear noises from the eggs in Harrisburg last week. All I hear for the most part on the Columbus cam is noise that sounds like bacon frying. I would hear alarm calls if there were some, but of course don't want to hear that.

It is a bit warm out today and I wouldn't doubt it if Durand is a but warm and moving the eggs about because of this. And with traffic and construction around the statehouse and tower it might be too presumptuous to definitively say we are earring little ones. I think the most tell tale signs would come from the less restless spark or clear pips.

I'll check when I can, but this park has lousy cell reception.

Well, I think there is one thing we can agree on (other than her scrunching) is that there are still 4 eggs that may or may not have pips..

How's that for being vague...

Can't watch any longer. Maybe there will be a new arrival here in the morning.

I love all the new stuff I learn from this forum! It does seem like the most important thing will happen this season (at some point), & that of course is that Durand becomes a mother! :flirty:

I heard the cheaping during the nest exchange. Anybody else? I had been listening for about an hour before that and nothing. I have also heard it at Harrisburg and De Mortel before, but not without earphones, although once I heard birds outside my window and thought it was at the nest.

I thought those church bells would never stop.

I didn't hear too much when Durand was settled. When she was moving those eggs around, earlier, I thought I heard something.

Not sure about exchange because I was paying attention to something else, so just heard their greetings.

ETA... yes, the bells... hahahaha

Okay, I think he's hearing something. He's looking down at the eggs, now. Anybody else seeing him do this? 5:38-5:39pm ET?

And he's wiggling...

Well, except for that feather floating around in there..

ETA well, seemed to wiggle a little when he was settling back down before the feather came in.
