Sunday morning report: Two adults were on 10 Exchange, one on the spire and one on the 29th floor. A little after I arrived a very flappy bird flew from 10 Exchange to the west side of 101 Hudson. Didn't see it land, but it was at a height between the 37th - 39th floors. Later, one adult was on the top parapet of 101 Hudson. That bird took off to the west in a stoop. Then the second adult, probably Athena, came out from one of the west terraces and perched on the 39th west side terrace. So, the end result is that I saw three different birds. Pictures are not the greatest. I'll put them up later.

Thanks Bonnie! Looking forward to the pics!

At 7:50 p.m., I do believe this is Boss on the ledge right next to the box. That's his typical evening spot

Boss made a lunchtime visit to the box area! :hapdance: He briefly perched on the closer parapet, but stills didn't catch him before he went down to the roof.

Was down this morning 10-11:30. All the birds were on 101 Hudson on the west side. Saw flying out and back in between floors 37-42 (top). But just a very few flights. Pretty sure I saw all three.

Thanks Bonnie! Loved the pics!

Boss was next to the box yesterday evening again. Afterward he was pancaked in the same spot.

While we're getting bonus time with the cam, Boss continues to show up next to the box most evenings. On Friday evening, an adult showed up:

Then Boss grabbed his spot next to the box:

And he was there again last night (and likely saw quite a light show to the north and west as some very strong storms moved across northern NJ during the evening). :hapdance:

Boss with a cameo around 4:30, but not long enough for the stills to catch him. He flew to the ledge to the right of the box, walked over to the box, then hopped down to the roof poking around and walked out of view to the right.

Looks like the cam turned off around 10 a.m. Wednesday (7/10). Keep fingers and toes crossed that we'll get to watch this cam next year! :corkpop:

I went to JC yesterday morning from 8:50 - 11:35. Around 9 a.m., Athena flew in from the northwest, and landed on a 39th floor parapet on the NW corner of 101 Hudson. After waiting a few minutes to see if additional flight action would happen, I started walking east along Columbus Ave, intending to go out to the waterfront for the wide-angle view. I stopped at Hudson St., and chose instead to walk south along Hudson St. and check the ledges on the low buildings that line the east side of the road (the falcons have made use of those the last 2 years).

I reached the corner of York & Hudson (the southeast corner of 101 Hudson itself) around 9:10 a.m., and got a brief look at a falcon making quick circles over one of the low buildings. When it re-appeared, I saw that it was Six. Shortly afterward, I heard Boss calling out, and he soon appeared gliding over the buildings! :hapdance: Over the next few minutes, Six and Boss soared directly overhead, with Boss vocal the whole time (although he appeared to be carrying a small prey item; perhaps Six or Athena had delivered it to him just prior to my arrival). Boss quickly gained altitude, aided by the southwesterly winds (ushering in our next heat wave) creating updrafts along the buildings. He ended up somewhere on the north side of 101 Hudson, but out of view from the street. Both adults had snuck away as well.

Between 9:45 - 10 a.m., Boss made a few loops around the top of 101 Hudson. Afterward, he apparently found a shady spot on one of the terraces on the west side of the building. I headed out to the Grundy Park pier for awhile, and had an unconfirmed sighting of Boss at 10:48 a.m., this time flying south over Hudson St. and disappearing over the low buildings again. A search of the area turned up empty ledges, so he might've found a shady spot on a roof.

Activity shut down after this, and with the exit of clouds and the temperature quickly heading for 90, I left at 11:35 a.m.

Here's Six circling over the low buildings:

Here's Boss showing his flight/soaring skills! He started out quite low off the low buildings. Camera settings were a little too dark; some editing brought out some underside detail (it's not real easy to see, but he is carrying a small prey item in his right foot).

Thanks Matrix! Yes, that's the new World Trade. It's been neat watching it rise the past few seasons. Hoping to someday get a nice shot of one of the falcons in flight with that tower in the background
