I have been saying for days (and ignored~ :teehee: ) that I felt like Lil' Dad has been in Courting mode...let's just hope that is what is going on now!!!

THIS IS WHY I THINK IT'S NB OR EVEN ANOTHER MALE. NIECEY WAS TOO EXCITED THIS MORNING AND WHY WOULD LIL DAD HAVE TO DISPLAY HIS FLYING? ALSO, WHEN I SAW THEM TOGETHER, THE ONE BEHIND HER DIDN'T LOOK AS LITTLE AS LIL DAD :-( THIS IS MAKING ME SICK ALL OVER :tantrum2:

Aerial displays are a part of courting...especially when trying to win over a female....

I suppose, it could be NB or possibly a 3rd male...but, unless NB has gotten gun shy and petrified of the ledge because of the fights, I really think we would have seen him when Niecey was on the shield/stick...and we haven't. His MO was she calls, he comes, and a resulting canoodle...

But, maybe his MO has changed because of the ledge issues..

I'm just surprised there were no vocals during the last two fly bys...

sometimes our eyes deceive us Reenie. If this is little dad, this is what falcons do. remember, she came after fledging last year. Now he has to woo her. Especially when another male has been there doing his thing.

this happens at all sights, even when they have same mate year after year. but when watching a cam , you just do not see this.

Fly bys and food displays are all part of it.

YESTERDAY, LIL DAD WAS EATING ON THE POINT, I'M THINKING HE ATE THE WHOLE THING AND THE REASON HE WENT TO THE POINT WHEN NIECEY FLEW OVER TOWARDS THE LEDGE WAS TO GIVE HER THE STICK, NOT THE FOOD. IF THERE WAS ANYTHING LEFT ON THAT FOOD, HE WOULD HAVE STASHED IT, NOT LET IT LAY THERE.

HE WAS ON THE LEDGE ALMOST ALL DAY YESTERDAY, WHY WOULD HE NOT COME TO THE LEDGE ONE TIME TODAY? THIS IS ANOTHER REASON I THINK IT'S NB :-( THERE'S NO WAY LIL DAD WOULD RESIST COMING TO THIS LEDGE AT LEAST ONCE TODAY AND HE HASN'T.

OF COURSE, THIS IS JUST ALL MY OPINION.

One thing I have learned over the years Reenie is that if one of the mates change so do things that you are used to. They adapt to the thing at hand. Even when thye are fledging their young.
what little dad did with mom and NG may not be the same as what he does with this new female

sometimes , even where they sit.
