Lousy picture, I know...but, are we INSIDE the box? Is that the sun? Or am I all disoriented by the cloudy cam...hmmmmmm

Interesting picture, SGB. I was hoping that once it was a good possibility that there would be nesting here, the cam would be upgraded, especially since other falcon sponsors are using some great cam set-ups. Would be nice if the view was inside looking out.

Yay - such a busy week for me, and now I can visit my favorite falcons again! :girlluv: There's our girl, again.. Shes coming to the nest box much more often now, isnt she? Why does Jamie jump out so quickly when Moxie shows up? Sure wish the cam people at Ft. Wayne would shorten the refresh time so we could see a little more of each visit.

I agree!

Tsusan, there are a number of nests where the tiercels are apparently intimidated by their larger mates, especially if the mate is between them & the nestbox opening. Its actually comical to watch them run out of the box on live cams!

Thankyou for those pictures of the Dynamic Duo of Ft. Wayne, Hanny! :sum9: They are so cute together! Isnt Jamie a 2010 hatch, and Moxie a 2011 hatch? Its funny to me that even tho Moxie is younger, she intimidates Jamie... I noticed that a lot of the cams are going live. Is there any time table as to when this one does?

Unfortunately, with this cam, what you see now is what you get all year. We can always hope that there are plans for updated equipment since there will likely be chicks here, but we're rapidly running out of time before nesting season begins.

Last year, around the time Jamie was noticed (March), there was a brief time that the cam was turned to face the ledge.
I think Juanita mentioned a Allen or David at AEP? who zoomed in the cam.

Yes, that was Allen Glass who did that. I will contact him to see if there are any plans to do anything to refresh the cam, etc. I don't believe there is a lot he can do since he isn't in Ft. Wayne, but maybe he can speak to some other people.

Edit: I just emailed Allen & will let you know when he responds.

That is Cool Catwoman! Hope we can hear if there are any plans to upgrade!

Although, with the two always there...wonder how aggressive they may get if they tried to install a newer camera...LOL...If Moxie inherited her fathers' genes for aggressiveness, (as I suspect most of the Canton females have) there may be some newspaper worthy action!! :teehee:
