Bird Cams Around the World

Yes she was. This bird was hunkered down on eggs vocalizing. New falcon was on ledge sort of bowed over, but looking like she wanted to pounce. She was NOT vocalizing to him. She did not enter the inner ledge.

It was a very different interaction. It did not look like courtship/be my mate kind of interaction.

I've emailed Ann G off list. She already responded "Mohawk" was on the eggs earlier to the list, but that's what got me confused because I thought we had already established Dan was Mohawk. Maybe there's something else going on in the air that we don't know about?

all I know for sure mwplay is that it would not be another male.

If Dan had been missing and Lil attracted another male then another male would slowly come to incubate,

No, either Dan is mad that the eggs got cold, or this might be Lil?

Is it possible that a female would try to get the rival away from eggs to protect them?

I don't know. I know I'm completely speculating here. I hate this... the not knowing since there are no bands and no way to 100% identifity.

well let us just hope that things settle down soon.
Other female may just be ticked because Dan not courting as he should and he was telling her in falcon talk to let him do his job.

At this point, when she did come in, Dan would get up and leave scrape.

Maybe he is not accepting her.

This looks to me like he/she is trying to protect eggs at this point.

I am looking at shots and before it moved into shade coloring was deeper yellow like before

Going out on a limb here and have NO idea what's really going on, but I think we may have Lil back in scrape. Looked at Terka's picture & my picture. The pigment is just not yellow enough. Dan is very yellow.

Lil has the seperation of color between her eye and her nose. Dan doesn't. His eye coloring goes almost all the way over.

I realize we've got shadows in play here, but this is very odd.

Did anyone else get video of the interaction with bird on nest and the response to falcon on ledge?

No kidding. Would make life a lot easier.
