Very disturbing events today. I peeked in at work periodically. Thanks for the video, SGB, cause I didn't see her visit live--not supposed to do any live streaming from work. It looks like this girl (& I do think she's young) has been canoodling with somebody, judging from the disturbed feathers on her shoulders. Maybe she'll do a Dori & lay her eggs with Lil's & have a big happy family! :girlcrazy:

I find it hard to believe that someone this young & scrawny could best Lil, so if Lil is injured or worse, I don't think this girl did it. Of course, we don't know Lil's age, do we? She could be quite old as far as we know.
:sum5:

Ann G just posted to SF Yahoo:

The falcon (female) that just visited the scrape was not Lil. She and Dan had a courtship interaction moments before on the ledge, where they bowed and vocalized to each other.

We believe this is the falcon sighted in the area both Saturday and Sunday. Dan's reaction her has changed in that period of time - he has now allowed her on the scrape ledge, and is now bowing to her.

It is very likely that we now have a new falcon at the PGE ledge.

So Dan went off and went to ledge and then came back by box and went on eggs . then she came in and he flew off . you see him far out and then he came in on ledge and back to eggs. Then he started chupping and you saw what happened in SGB last video and my picutres earlier

Well, looking back at SGB's video, she has some white spots on her shoulders. Hopefully it will make it easy to distinguish her from Dan...

Well, I think she has some white spots...

Thank you Bev.

At this point, I'm not going to hold any hope for these eggs. If Dan has to start courting her, with the amount of time these eggs have already been incubated, I doubt they will be viable. Is it sick to say I'm glad they were not hatched... I would not want to watch a De Mortel situation when S2 came in. Or watch Dan sit on these eggs like Pa last year - that was so sad.

Unless this girl had a mate and was displaced somehow, I don't think it will be a quick enough turn around to hold out hope.

But I guess there's always a slim possibility.

well now DAn has to court her, bring food to her and incubate eggs and Louie did it in Pittsburg. We have watched many miracles unfold before our eyes. the most important thing is for this site to flourish.

but my heart is with Lil right :cryinggirl: now and I just hope she is out there. the male in San Jose is still there .

My miss Edmonton found a new site not too far away an d has nested for 5 seasons . So here is to you LIl

Did see the white in her tail. That visit looked a little promising.

And yes, EC was recently sighted (this past weekend). And Haya is within eyesight of her old nest site.

So, Lil may be close. And, never know, she may try to come back to battle it out.

Trying to be on phone, post here, watch cam & post on SF forum...

if you look at all my picutres above you will see white on tail (tip of tail ) and note black circle around right eye.

I guess all my shots got lost with all our chatter.

I will post a few more. would love to do slideshows but PB does not have that yet
