Glenn Nevill just posted to the SF forum:

Went out at lunch today and did a quick survey. Found one falcon on W4, the central anchor of the Bay Bridge, walked past PG&E, did not see any activity, so kept going down Mission St to about 2nd St. Got a clear view of the Paramount Condo tower located at Mission and 3rd, this is 1/2 mile from 77 Beale. Spotted one falcon resting and preening there just under the top-most roof. There might just be enough ledge for a scrape at that building, but it is facing north.

Back to Main & Mission where I ran into Jerry. She spotted DD coming out of the the nest scrape. I did not get his initial flight on camera, but did get a good id sequence of him as he took off once more, and returned to the ledge.

Photos are up and you can see them here:

Regards,
Glenn Nevill

Thanks for posting the report, mwplay...those were really great pics of Dan...

ya know, this is a pretty picture, but, why didn't they go back to the scrape, I wonder..My fantasy is that they went out and got those eggs..I know...I'm dreaming...

You must have read my mind.that is what I was hoping. It would be best case scenario then Can could get on with this new one.

Not wanting to wipe out all evidence Mwplay, but this would be best all around. Surely someone has an incubator.

Just for the record, my fantasy is that they incubate those eggs and foster the chicks..if they are still viable...

From the posts I'm seeing, I get the impression they think she will/may take to the eggs.

I don't think so, based on De Mortel - same situation. Now, the hope is Dan doesn't spend 100 days incubating those eggs.

If Lil had remained, I'd have a different perspective.

If Dan gets back into courtship mode and they lay new eggs, she will probably then incubate, but it will be too late.

This may be the first time they've seen this happen here (in this area). Maybe if people bring up the will she take to the eggs, I'll add the tidbit about De Mortel, but may be told to keep it "on topic".
