0643 just a little light coming in and I think I see a white chest. Believe Cher is on the black mat.

0650 Cher just flew from black mat. Out of cam view. Light is now coming in.

0651 Dan returns to incubate

Dan resumes duty at 6:51AM
Dan departs 7:57AM
Dan returns to incubation at 8:04AM.


Your recording would be great. I've got to run a few errands today. Will try to hold off for another few hours, but want to try and beat the afternoon lunch rush.

I really think eggs have been uncovered for too long but at Pittsburgh same thing and they hatched but that was at beginning of incubation.

but I always remain optimistic. You just never know. Every one said Bonnie the owl eggs would not hatch and I stuck with her and she has 2 right now so you never know

there is so much Drama everywhere right now and I know my sites will not go unscathed.

0948 Cher comes into ledge area. Dan departs.

Cher goes to abandoned egg and rolls it with beak. Beaking it. Touches it with foot. Enters scrape. Over eggs. Scraping. Pebble picking. Still standing over eggs. Scraping around eggs. Standing over eggs. Sraping around eggs. Now picking far left corner. Returns to area of eggs. Picking pebbles. Scraping. Standing over eggs.

0958 Cher departs scrape.
1005 Dan returns to scrape/incubation

I watch this and I keep thinking...you are so close...lay down... Even if she didn't tuck the eggs in, maybe just her body heat would help keep them warm.

Side note - she's starting to really fill out. Very broad chested to my eye.

11:04 cher just stayed there on side form 10:54am did not go to box and then she went towards ledge .
11:04am Cher came right back from side and onto box and then flew right out again, while looking out

11:08am Dan back on ledge

11:43am Dan still there . has not left but he really turns those eggs

Now I'm leaving... late & will hit lunch rush... oh well. Be gone for few hours.
