It's 1:38AM and DC just made a food delivery.. Beauty is feeding the kids and they are ALL hungry!

Sorry this video is split in 2 pieces. I was shocked when I put my headphones in and heard DC's incoming call & saw B leave the box, go to the corner, take the food and return to the box!

What a Dad!!! And proof he's staying close to DT.

You can see DC on the other side of main cam. He did not stay long.

It's 2:50AM... These kids are squirmers. Poor Beauty can't get any rest because these kids are constantly talking to her and moving around. Everyone gets settled and somebody moves and upsets the whole fluff ball pile!

It's 3:16 and she's feeding again. I just shut my computer down 10 min ago! Looking at archive photos, DC made delivery at 3:04AM and looks like he stayed longer this time!

Will insert photos tomorrow.

ETA: Beauty fed until 3:34am. DC stayed on deck, at corner. She then left for about 1-2 minutes while DC stayed. When she returned at 3:36am, he is no longer on stills (cam 2 archives).

Based on these deliveries, I'm guessing DC is now spending his nights downtown. Wish I knew what kind of prey he is catching at night. There's a good picture of prey at 3:05AM of Beauty carrying the prey in box. It is some kind of small bird. I'll have to look tomorrow when I have my PC on.

I'm so impressed with Beauty and DC!!!!

Now it's time for me to really shut down!

11:58 and B is looking up and alarm calling.

She's calmed down now at 12pm.

Kids are just all over this morning, and one who CONTINUES to go to the corner and Beauty CONTINUES to pull back. She just doesn't want the baby over there. And baby snaps back at Beauty's beak!

12:03pm - she's alarm calling again. I think she wants them to be fed.... maybe..

Was feeding dogs, so going off archives...

12:15pm - DC arrives corner of deck, near platform. B leaves box. DC on duty until 12:20, when Beauty returns with lunch. And sorry in advance, couldn't resist the spaghetti picture :teehee:

And.. Look at the feet. I wonder if feet color make any difference in gender. I know these kids are a day apart.. The one on the right has lighter colored feet and bigger than the other babies.. Wonder if maybe 1 girl and 2 boys?

1:30pm - Beauty is SO patient. These kids are all over the place. She keeps trying to bring them back to her. She gets one under control and the next one starts making its escape! I think it's funny how she sort of tail blocks the kids from the front lip and then scooches her tail.. like she's drawing a line.

And these kids are SOOOOO talkative. All night and all day. I have to wonder if it is the heat.. 90F on display.. Crops are full.

Kris - I hate to admit it, but I'm right there with you. Maybe I haven't watched enough nests with audio, but honestly, I don't know if I have ever heard such talkative kids. Seriously, I can mute my volume, poor Beauty can't.

I keep thinking about "wait until your father gets home"

Had to turn streaming off for a few. Turn back on and find DC on duty.

He arrived above box, then moved down to deck, then in to box. Kids seems to quiet down with him...

3:06pm - Momma arrives back with prey. DC wasn't sure if he needed to cache, but B made it clear it's for the kids. Appears he has flown off. I'm glad she got a nice break.

The "escapee" has a habit if biting towards Beauty's beak when she's getting reprimanded. I will try to get it on video one time, but here's what the main cam caught... Then, B's timeout!

That little one will just NOT sit down.. and she's CONSTANTLY talking...

I had stopped recording because it was at 18 minutes - 13.5GB. Then I saw a big flash & then black screen.

Yes.. I also hope DC is safely tucked in... Can't wait until this passes and DC comes home so we can see him.
