Are you able to tell their sex? is it by the size?
those two older ones are cute together, they seem to interact with each other more than other chicks I've watched in past years.

Yes...usually by overall size, including leg/feet size. Females are larger..right now I'm leaning towards 2 females and 1 male..

They are!!! I think Bob is gonna start Sunday!!!

I probably should post his cell phone number here...If we catch an early fledge, he would appreciate a phone call. I did that last year..super early fledge and the fledge watch crew had not arrived yet..so, he was quite appreciative...

I agree, they look like they are going to fledge very soon. They are spending a lot of time gazing out of the nest box.

Do not hesitate to call him if you see an extra early fledge or even a premature fledge...I think Fledge watch officially starts Monday, unofficially starts Sunday.

HELD MY BREATH THAT YELLOW LEGS WITH LEAST SMATTERING OF DOWN DIDN'T FLEDGE AWHILE AGO! BLUE LEGS WITH NEXT LEAST SMATTERING SEEMS TO BE THINKING SOME ABOUT IT. BLUE LEGS HAS A LITTLE MORE DOWN AROUND BASE OF TAIL THAT SHOWS UP WHEN SPREADS ITS WINGS. THINK BLUE LEGS IS THE BOY AND HE LIKES TO STAND ON THE ROCK. PARENT TRIED TO COME IN TWICE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO D/T POSITIONING OF JUVIES. YELLOW LEGS EVEN SLIPPED ONCE @ EDGE! THEY BEAR CLOSER WATCHING NOW. 3RD ONE SEEMS CUMBERSOME STILL. IS IT THEIR POSITIONING RIGHT NOW OR DO WE NEED TO RETHINK SEXES OF? THE ONE LOOKS HUGE WITH LONGER TAIL THAN OTHERS??? MAYBE MORE FLUFF MAKES LOOK BIGGER??? WISH SOMEONE WOULD COME BY RIGHT NOW. :egg11:

THEY SEEM TO BE ABLE TO RUN WITHOUT LOOKING AS FOOLISH AS OTHER FALCONS ... IS IT THE ALL-GRAVEL SURFACE. THEY EVEN RUN FASTER!

I'm here, just left to see if I had any pictures for this nest today. Watched the little guy up there on that rock flapping away. This shot is when he was coming down but he was still pumped up.

I did some "counting today...we are on day 36 for 2 of them and day 33 for hatch number 3. If memory serves me correctly, they tend to fledge early here..I also think the one with the least amount of fluff is male. I wish I knew which hatch number he (?) was...
