What a job to keep the little one safe in among all the other eggs. I've been watching Red Girl moving around on them. She is very careful.

Yes, she is very careful about keeping the chick safe . . . and keeping it well hidden. I've only caught a couple of fleeting glances at the little white fluff ball.

Not surprised to read of an egg hatching this morning after watching the happenings over the weekend. So far I can see only the eggshell. I will be able to watch most of the day today up until around 4:00 this afternoon.

TRINITY WAS JUST IN THERE STANDING ABOVE THEM LOOKING AT THEM. FINALLY RG CAME IN AND YELLED AT HIM AND HE LEFT. SHE SETTLED ON THE EGGS AND CHICKS NOW :-)

Trinity had been there with the chicks, and didn't look scared of them or anything. Red Girl is there again, and before she came in, I thought I could see a pip in another egg. Birds of Wilmington, beware!

I just had a chance to check in on the falcons before I leave again.

:egg11: It looks like both Red Girl and Trinity are having a challenging time keeping two chicks plus four eggs all covered up. Red Girl took a while to get settled down and then discovered that one chick was next to her instead of under her. But she did manage to get it under her after several tries.
