Almost no down left. We are at the bloomers stage. I think Fledge Watch starts 5/16.

We are headed for a heat wave. Hopefully the kids will find a way to stay cool for the next 2 days. Friday should be cooler.

Every nesting season goes by way too fast for me--this season is no exception. :egg15: Thanks everybody for the great captures of these kids, & thank you mwplay for the banding info!

omg, parent brought in food and you never saw such a mad dash of juvies off the ledge.

These feedings are rough . They are all picking at scraps right now while Clara rests in the nestbox.

Last night, I think, I was watching a feeding and one of the little males got a piece but every place he would run to to eat it, somebody would meet him there.

Then it's back to the ledge and flapping.

Bolt's has journeyed to the upper ledge.... and he's working it this morning. Back & forth...

Well, there's a benefit to getting up to the upper ledge... Fed first!

Sounds like he's had the cam operators busy since before 6am!

When I opened the cam and saw somebody on the wall, I knew it had to be him.

He was fussing because parent was below.

Now he's blocked off.

Bolt made it back down a little while ago, but he had to jump to the runway as his brother and sisters would not move.

Here they all are piled up on the ledge.

Just saw in the Rochester chat that Blaze got pushed off the ledge by a sister today, but is OK. :egg14:

Edit: Just tried to bring up the cam to see if all 4 were there, but I couldn't get in. :egg15:

Don't be surprised if you don't see Blaze.

Apparently he was pushed off the lower ledge by Beatrix. He glided around City Hall. Someone saw him, contacted authorities, etc. He's in a box with air holes waiting for Glenn. They said he looks to be in good health.

Official fledge watch starts tomorrow!

Just posted to SJ Yahoo Forum:

First the good news, and most important. Glenn arrived at City Hall,
observed Blaze and found nothing amiss, much like the Animal Control
officers. Glenn has placed Blaze on top of City Hall, where Clara and
Fernando will surely locate him soon.

Now the not so great news. The public view has been down for a few
hours, but our friends at City Hall are diligently working the issue.
Unfortunately, the prognosis is not good, and we will not be able to
broadcast in the near term. You need to consider them 'down
indefinitely' but know that everything is being done to rectify the
situation. We know. Really bad timing. Uber bad timing. But it is
what it is and we just have to deal with it.

In the meanwhile, the cameras are operating (we just can't broadcast)
and we are able to keep an eye on the kids. They are all on the low
ledge at the East end at present. Clara is sitting atop the nest box,
without a seeming care in the world. It appears Glenn was quite stealth
when he put Blaze up on the roof.

We'll try to post meaningful updates while the public view is not
functional, as well as some video clips and photographs. Speaking of
which, attached are a couple of images of Blaze in his box and one on
the roof ! [am hoping they transmit, if not, I'll post to the Yahoo
Group page.]

Please, if you are able, come down to the 4th Street garage in the
coming days and participate in Fledge Watch yourselves. A reminder of
what you will want to bring with and to keep in mind will be sent shortly.

Tina

Thanks, mw! Well, maybe Blaze will appear back on the ledge at some point so we can see him again, but the important thing is that he is safe. :flirty: It is bad timing for cam problems, but I'm glad the people that are going to try to keep these kids safe can still see what's going on. Love the pictures--he is so cute! :flirty:

Poor little Blaze. He was doing really good with his flapping/hopping/flying, so maybe he can make it back down in a couple of days or more like Bolt will make it up to him. I knew that Beatrix was a problem. :sum5:

In that photo on the roof, he looks like, where the heck am I?

Bolt accidentally fledged yesterday also but a student, who is on watch patrol, was right there and was able to climb to roof where he landed and he was put up by Blaze.

the Bolt got ambitious and was on cam arm , and he mothed and took off cam and flew South. He U turned back and to make a long story short, he got halfway between nest ledge area an d slid down wall to runway . so he joined his sisters,
Blaze was fed by Clara .

This is report by some from the ground. I do not know if I am supposed to share it but there you have it.

they have some parts , I believe to work on cam and hope to have it functional soon

Thanks, Bev! So Bolt is back with the rest of the family? (Great news about the cam--hope they can get it working soon.)
