Well, I really don't know what is going on here..but, I've kept this cam up for the past 5 hrs..I never saw more than 1 bird at a time..and most of that time, it was not on the egg. If I had to make a guess, I would have to say we're missing one of the pair..which is sad and unfortunate..

Several times I did see another bird "soaring" above the plowed field...but, it really looked too large to be a Hobby...but, I could be wrong...the other Hobby did show some interest and took off 1 of the times..

so, who knows...Nobody is on the egg right now and no Hobby on cam..

We now have the camera on a Hobby nest. This is a new nest and female for the project. She is on three eggs which we can only guess the hatching date, sometime over the next ten days. The camera has suffered from a torrential downpour. This has left a little condensation on the lens. We are hoping this will clear given a little time.

Hobby nest cam update.
The team are working to sort out the camera problems that have affected the hobby nest cam. We hope to update with positive news in the next few days.
