Young peregrine falcon on the water tower Axel ringed

The three young peregrine falcons of the couple -popularly known Alex and Alexia - are ringed by volunteers from the Raptor Zealand work. Henk Castelijns did the job with the help of Willy Finch and Tonny Caluwé on Friday, May 2, 2014.

......one of the young has fallen and fortunately was found. Two years ago, two youngs had fallen and were reported in the nest, but today it is unfortunately not possible. Therefore, the young is left on a tree at the bottom of the Water Tower hoping that his parents find it there.

I remember the year in Australia with Sheila an d Havoc. One o f three fell off tower and after 3 days it made its way up to top again. we were all elated

this is why they stand more o fa chance at these sites. In urban we have streets

That was such an exciting evening when we realized that Stan really was fine & had gotten back to the nest. I thought he was gone more like a week though. I know we were concerned for him & were asking for pictures as proof that he was OK. It seems like he was gone long enough that we had basically given up on seeing him again. Actually, he was gone awhile because he was mostly white when he fell but had mostly brown feathers when he returned.
