Here is an excerpt from the blog about Audrey and Calico Tom (beloved osprey family on the Chesapeake Bay) of 5/20 by COM (Crazy Osprey Mom, member of family where nest is located and cared for), so you can be aware of the 'All or Nothing" campaign to raise $100,000 over a 24 hour period that began @ 3pm EDST 5/20/18. You give a dollar or whatever sum and it will be quadrupled. Read for more details. Access to the blog follows. It was written during the "pip stage" of egg #1!

Before I continue, I want to get out a very important message from our dear partners, the Chesapeake Conservancy. Tomorrow, May 21st, something huge is happening for them. They will be launching a 24-hour crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising $100,000 to protect the nest that sustains us all: the Chesapeake Bay. This is a great opportunity to support the organization that brings you right up close to Audrey, Tom, and their chicks every year through the webcam. And thanks to a couple of matching donors, your gift will be quadrupled. Every $1 you give becomes $4! But the campaign is all or nothing; if Chesapeake Conservancy doesn’t reach their $100,000 goal within 24 hours, all donations will be returned. Visit charidy.com/ProtectTheNest between 3 pm May 21st and 3 pm May 22nd to participate in this much-needed initiative.

Wow. You did it. You helped us reach our $150,000 Bonus Round goal. Altogether, we raised $150,281 to protect and restore the land, water, and wildlife that matter to you!

Thank you so much to all of our donors and to our matchers, explore.org, the Bancroft Foundation, Chesapeake Conservancy Board members, and an anonymous donor who have made this moment possible. We could never have done it without you. #ProtectTheNest

PIP!! Looks to be in the same area as starburst I saw last eve. Audrey is very restless, up and down and aerating the nest bowl frequently.

Edit to add screen capture of pip by SmokeyMtnCreatureFan:

Was watching them a few days ago and what a horrid, wet, windy, day it was. Audrey was sooooooooooo soaked, but keeping her babes dry!! Glad the weather has improved and all is well!

:teehee: I just realized Calico Tom hasn't brought any strange objects to the nest this season. Audrey brought in a forked stick awhile ago that Tom took from her and placed. Of course Audrey promptly removed it and placed the stick where she wanted it ... right back where they started from! Seeing some sun here today!! They had breakfast earlier this morning.
