First nest exchange this morning was at 6:35 with Obey coming in. He flew at 7:44 and during the swing out you can see another eagle follow him over the Dale Hollow lake, probably River. Then she returns to the eggs at 7:46. Currently, Obey is again on egg duty coming in at 11:02.

At Dale Hollow, River has remained on the nest since she arrived back at 12:10 this afternoon, 20 minutes before laying the 2nd egg. Mod reports Obey went to the nest and covered her with fluff after she laid the egg and later brought a stick, but they do not believe he has seen the 2nd egg. He can be seen during the swing out on the lower left limb now.

At Dale Hollow, Obey got to see his 2nd egg this morning at the first nest exchange at 6:35. He was on for more then 3 hours and returned to duty at 10:57 where he remains at 11:31.

Video of Webster TX eagles from Paul White. In additon to a feeding it includes poop shoots from both Maverick and Wrangler. Easy to determine who was the first hatch as Wrangler is very submisive when Maverick starts to bonk. Only takes one bonk.

My first Eagle nest (cam) was Norfolk Botanical Garden, wonderful folks and
great webcam.

At Dale Hollow, Obey came in at 3:46 and when River did not hop up right away he started doing a little nest work. After he spilled some on her back, she got off the eggs and flew. Obey saw his 3 eggs for the first time about a minute after arriving. He very gingerly got over them and then pulled the fluff around him toward his chest. He remains on duty at 16:00. Time between the three eggs per mod was:

"Talk about consistency: Time between Egg 1 and Egg 2 was 70:47. Time between Egg 2 and Egg 3 was 71:37."

River arrived to the lower left branch at 17:22. Then to the left branch a minute later. Obey just looked at her without making any effort to get up. At 17:24, she went to the nest and he still didn't hop up. Then she placed one foot toward him and he got right up. She got over the eggs and he went to the upper branch initially and then to the lower left branch which at first all you could see were his feet. He's spending the night as he is still here at 8:14.

At Dale Hollow, Obey is soaked and on egg duty while River is away probably hunting for food. Hunting conditions are poor for them as the rains continue causing very muddied, rising, lake waters. Mod reports the lake has risen almost 4 feet above sea level since Tuesday morning.
