Hi all!
Male 1R appears to be son 2O of Pa and VV from 2013, this is for 99,99% sure now!
I always saw him as a son, by son appearence and by his callings!

2O on the right, sissy on the left

I'm going to be out early today... Have to go get ready in about 20 minutes.

I opened cam to find both in box. He was chupping, she was wailing. She left, he went to porch and followed.

Saw both flying and VV was back in about 2 minutes.

He's enjoying the winds, hovering, letting the winds/upstream take him higher. So amazing to see how he can just hold still and let the wind carry him.

Probably happens more than we are aware of. Indy Market Tower's current male was a 2012 hatch from the resident adults there.

WOW...and thanks for that info, Anniet!!

He fought the male who displaced Pa. We had the unbanded male (VM) who came in for a few days - would sleep in box, then 2O showed up & battled with VM. Since 2O has been here, I don't think anyone has seen Pa.

When I opened the cam the babies were alone, for how long I don't know. Little mister showed up and then left. He returned and VV behind him with prey. She fed the kids...of course she was blocking but it was a ten minute feed. He sat out on the grate while she fed them. After the feed she stashed the prey in the corner. He waited about two minutes and then stole the prey while she yelled at him.

Interesting news--thanks, Anniet! That explains why he thinks VV should furnish his food, because a couple years ago she did! He is actually the 4th son that I know of to return home to be his mother's mate. As was mentioned earlier, there is Sensatta(sp) in Indy, JJ at the James River Bridge nest & CJ at the Wilmington nest.

Hi Catwoman!
I'm not sure that VV and O2 remember about 2 years ago when he was fed by her,
but it seems they stored the experience both.
We do have some cases in Holland too.

we do not know he fought dad. Remember there was Vm here first. I would like to think Pa had passed on the torch. I still think Pa is out there somewhere.

As far as I could tell, she did an excellent job of feeding 4 little mouths. I saw a couple of them closing their beaks when she tried to feed toward the end.

Don't know what was happening just now but he was in the box all excited bowing and looking out, and now he is on the platform. That VV is just as cool as a cucumber. She is focused on those babies.
