A full nest at the Port power plant  Each bird is banded with two bands, one on each leg, that allows biologists to follow the animal throughout their life. The birds were also named, two by representatives of Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and the others by the We Energies staff. The first bird, a male, was named Larsen in honor of Andy Larsen, Riveredge’s first executive director and the man identified by many as the personification of the nature center. The second bird, a female, was named Lillie in honor of Isabel Lillie, president of the Whitefish Bay Garden Club when it founded Riveredge. “We’re trying to honor our founders,” Natalie Dorrler of Riveredge said. The third bird, a female, was named MacKena and the fourth, a male, was dubbed Shea — monikers suggested by Port plant manager Terry Hoffmann in honor of his granddaughters MacKena and Everly Shea.  Port Washington- One lonely juvie left in the nestbox... Valley- Three energetic juvies on the ledge. One jumps to the perch and nonchalantly flies off...the other two begin wildly wingercising but don’t get anywhere...Presque babies are snoozing in a fluff ball.

Great News! We have identified the adult male at Indy Market Tower. Sue H captured several pics of him on the monument and (drum roll please) he is Jeffery, 52/E~(b/bl), a 2016 hatch from Pleasant Prairie Power Plant in Wisconsin! Parents, unbanded female and PBR (b/r) 07/B. Some of Sue's pics and Jeffery's picture from banding day, May 31, 2016. He was an only chick!

| Port Washington family is very busy at the moment. I saw mom come charging in with prey in her talons, a juvie hot on her heels. She no more than landed and turned an juvie grabbed his supper and crouched in a corner as he ate. I could see other family members flying in the distance.
