Ferenz...If our lay dates are correct, there shouldn't even be a hatch here unless they started incubating from the first egg, which was laid on 3/14....could they be referring to another nest?

My simple explanation:

Dorine, Marian53, Amelandse & other forum members in The Netherlands' forum have doubts too that there is a hatch.

So I was completely wrong in seeing an hatch at first sight on 17 April 15:05:05... and Ernst Klöcker did either. I know that he has a private access to the nest cam stream and he is the only NABU official to control the nest box. That's why I've trusted in Ernsts' note on NABU-Blog. But unless he did not sent me a mail with private fotos of 1.chick I assume my error.
