Poppy Mod • 11 hours ago Please, unfold for weather report and other information! Happy Saturday, osprey friends! Steve and Rachel finally met on the nest and started business as usual: bonding after being apart for 7 months, mating, nestorations and fish deliveries. You might have wondered why Steve is mantling after mating. According to Iain MacLeod, the male osprey's drooping the wings and turning his back to the female in a submissive posture to assure her that he is friendly and not a threat. That happens especially during the first days after their reunion. We are still waiting for Dottie, Doug and the Crown Royal |

From Poppy: Poppy Mod • 5 hours ago Happy Hump Day, osprey friends! Great news, we have the side cam back! It is hidden behind the “gargoyle” perch on the left hand side of Rachel and Steve’s nest. It is stationary and can’t be moved, but gives us a view of the activities on nest level. And this is how to add it to your "favorite cams": Open a tab with the "Osprey Nest Branch View". Beneath the feed and thumbnails you should find a series of symbols. Click on the black/white heart to choose this cam as your favorite. The symbol now turns pink. Voilà! |

Pip Watch!! And found this from a commenter @ site. Steve and Rachel will be on Portland TV station WCSH on the 207 show at 7pm tomorrow night. For those not local you can go to their web page to view. Watched the preview this evening and it looks good! Can't wait to see!!

I have never heard of this moon. Have you all? The following photos of the Full Flower Moon from the 29th over Hog Island by Tony AKA Anc1entMar1ner per Poppy. Gorgeous moon!!  Full Flower Moon Over Hog IslandThe Cam-Op is giving us excellent close ups of the eggs when Rachel is off of them. And I have to say, Rachel is very stunning tonight!! Just absolutely gorgeous!!
