I just arrived home. Wow what a day for that nest. I need to read everything right now. Hopefully all has settled down.

I watched the video. Wow. I never saw anything like that before. So a new female would come in and take a nest from the resident female? I have to let this all sink in. :egg15: :egg15: :egg15: :egg15:

video coming in a few. I just remember my OR2 in deMOrtel, when she got in fight but she was all puffy. This one was not. I checked as she came in and no blood. It was just a few lower feathers that were plucked. It was if other female would stand and do nothing as if to say , O.K. now what

I think it was a yougnster

so a young one. I am sure she is fine. I think this female was back to quick for it to be too serious. I have watched from the ground so maybe came unlocked and other one chased off. if so , hope it stays away while this one recoups.

I put food gift and her return together so do not get confuse
watch my times on bottom . ( Alberta times)

well I am on way out but cam is up. She has been out front, moving a bit slow , probably sore, but with a days rest , hopefully will be more chipper. It is harder on these females when they are with egg. They are more vulnerable. :7val:

fingers crossed

male has put egg right out of view now

A few minutes ago there was a change again. Ralphie is brooding. When she left I did notice she was slow and seemed stiff. I am hoping for a better day............. It's cold here this morning - 19 degrees.

Is Noba the female's name?

Enjoy your day everyone and hope it will be a good day for "Noba" to heal...........

P.S.
I don't think this has been posted, but the Statler City Facebook page had this to report on the intruder story about 13 hours ago....... interesting..........

Thanks for the link Sally, I posted my observations from this morning under it so they know people are looking out for her. She needs to be kept an eye on in case she's egg bound after the fight.

if you looked further down under that FB note, I posted my observation yesterday. I do not think they were watching cam closely and I posted that she came back not to long after fight and and that it was her at back most of day and that RAlphie brought her two offerings during day. I also posted a video so they could see. I did not want anyone thinking she was not there and missing as a few did. I also posted that she appeared to get stronger as day went on and that they shoudl take a look for other female.

sometimes they put up cams but are nto watching very much. They do this at my sites,. I remember how they had the female dying in Toledo a few years ago and she was fine. It was just her eye which got better and better

My cam was up all day yesterday and I did see her get stronger a sday wnet on and she incubated most of the night. :7val: :7val: :7val:

I will keep cam up today also

Thanks for your early morning report, Sally..

I just read the FB report and it is totally inaccurate...I posted several times yesterday that the Resident female (Noba) had returned, several times, that the male had provided her with food, at least twice, and she had eagerly received the food and flown off. Of course, we have no way of knowing if she ate it.

I can see, Carly and Bev., that you provided some clarification. Also, the bird that "cowered" in the corner most of the day was NOT the male, but the female (posted by Statler City). I believe we documented that here..

Anyway, I agree with everyone's assessment...after going through the DVR from this morning, she looked fine..at least on cam..

She is due for egg #2 today. I hope they will pull it back into view.

Currently, the male is on the egg (noba just left)..

I will have NO viewing time today..and will be gone until about 8:30 tonight. Hopefully somebody can check, at least the DVR, periodically to see how things are going..

I will have cam running. It does tend to go off after awhile so will reboot it when I can.

Ralphie has pulled egg forward.and it looks O/.k.

I am in and out but will post what i see from recorder.

This is why I do not go on their FB pages too often as so many places post inaccurate information and it just feeds the fire. they only watch once in a blue moon .

I did nto want to come across as rude when I posted there, but I wanted viewers to have right information. YOU never know how they are going to take it so I edited post several times till I thought it sounded OK. I posted video also

Ralphie briefly pulled the egg into view...LOL...1 eggs showing..and I'm guessing its still 1 egg...of course, you might think differently watching him...several times he was incubating "air"..leaving the egg outside of him..of course, I'm thinking..could there be a second egg? I don't think so..

Noba just returned...Not sure if she was excited or agitated. They both have left..

Yes we are!!

I wish they would amend their main post. When a person reads it, you think the resident female could be dead in a gutter somewhere..not everyone reads through the comments.
