Is it definitely not the same male? There should be plenty of available falcons in this area, I don't really get it. No sign of the male?

The way they weren't around so much, I wonder if there is a nest somewhere else & this was just a mistake egg.

That has been my thought as well. I must go down and check. We also have a person who works close by and watches the falcons all the time.
