Mr Ralphie might have two mates... I read somewhere they put up multiple boxes in the area... But if there are no ground watchers, we will never know.

I talked to Sage today and she said that one box was put up at SUNY Fredonia, which is about 45 miles south of Buffalo. The other box was put up at the Ohio St. Grain Elevators, which she said was near the Statler... about 1 1/2 miles apart. She was hoping to get out to check some of the nest sites this weekend with a friend.

ralphie is here often so I do not think k he has 2 mates. But what do I know.

I have just played my tape and of course it shut off , so I am looking through archive, but NOBa has been here a lot today.

I have pictures but will do slideshow. just cannot do the pciutres as I cannot risk loosing my other cams

this puzzle just gets bigger and bigger. The egg was unattended for about 2 hours this afternoon. But NoBa has been at box a lot more today .
maybe a different challenge today.( male)

Really do not want to see a hatch here, unless things settle down.

It is a puzzle I cannot seem to figure out, unless I was observing from Ground

at 15:56, NOba is outside . on green area . has been there for awhile

If the other box is only 1.5 miles away - it could just be a case of sorting out the boundary lines of each territory. We certainly saw that here with King and Sheraton being so close to each other. When Windwhistler was here he kept the peace but Stormin - because he was born at Sheraton and is now the resident male at King - likes to blur the lines sometimes much to his father Tiago's annoyance.

Sage told me Peregrines have been seen at the Grain Elevators.

currently standing..with egg kinda under her tail..

Ya know, first egg was laid 4/3. Today is 4/9...still not the record. (I had to go back and look). Back in 2008, Scout laid her first egg on 3/29...9 days later, she laid her second egg. We just knew that first egg wouldn't hatch..but it did!!

We've "witnessed" territorial disputes before...I just can't remember if we've seen one occur once egg laying has started, have we? We know they can be stressful and disruptive, but I guess I had hoped she would be back on track by now!!

She's now moved over to the right side of the box!!

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- An injured peregrine falcon that got kicked out of her Statler City nest by an intruding falcon is back and seems to be recovering.

But not everything is back to normal: All eyes are on an unhatched egg and if mom is well enough to take care of it.

The D.E.C. is monitoring the nest closely because the peregrine falcon population only recently made a comeback. They used to be endangered and are now a protected species.

she has been in a lot today. I just do not see signs of her not being well. agitated , yes, but I can not see from ground :gaaaaah: :gaaaaah:

and the male has done real well.

it is a wait and see.

at just after midnight Buffalo time she moved to side of egg.

I have had cam up almost 10/7 till I go to bed.
I f they were monitoring, they would see if something was still out there. ?????????????????
