oh my. this is sad. I have not had much time for even my sites lately. but I did want so much for success and you know, on e is still success, after the start up of the year they were headed for. lots of chick loss this year.

We have Fledge. I can't tell ya what time because of the time stamp (had to use the DVR feature) but it was before the parent was in the box, then to the perch, then shadow of parent on the perch.

Just read on Peregrine Place FB page that Erica hit the Statler City building as she was attempting to fly back to it. Rescuers were right there, she's been picked up and will be seeing a Vet. Hope she's ok.

Update: Kudos to the watchers who rescued her!

From FB-
Statler City Rescue - When we arrived we found Erica on a low overhang about 20 ft off the ground. According to the security guard in the building she had been there since last night. She appeared to be OK and mom eventually fed her. After a lot of running up and down the ledge she decided to try her wings. She flew across Delaware Ave. and up Mohawk about 5 ft off the ground. When she tried to turn the corner onto Franklin she brushed the side of the Statler and came to the ground. We tried to capture her there but she got spooked and flew across Mohawk to the parking lot behind Osteria. We were finally able to get the silver jacket over her and load her into a box. I don't remember seeing anyone taking pics but I was focused on Erica! I had been in contact with SPCA Wildlife and was asked to drop her off at the SPCA. I'm glad she is safe and sound and away from the fireworks. Michelle

Posted on Peregrine Place she is fine and they're just waiting to see when she'll be returning back to the box.

According to FB, the baby has been returned to the Statler...must be the statler area as she's not in the box!!

oh man, I missed the fledge. thanks SGb for capturing it.

and thanks for the reports about her. Hopefully she will be O.K. now it is the second flight that seems to be tough for the female.

I am missing so much and barely have time to watch mine and they are ready to go also

:loveheart: Somebody is hanging out on the nestbox ledge!Falcon was laying down, now it is standing at the edge of the nestbox. It's been here 15 to 20 minutes...
