Burlington Bristol Bridge.

The following 2 pics are from mto823 and taken with his camera phone....thanks Mike

the first is of the BBB Female: b/g 14/AV. She is a 2012 hatch from the Possum Point Substation. To the many Cobb Island followers, the "AV" probably looks familiar...VA females wore those letters that year, including the 3 fledglings from Cobb...Now, how cool would it have been if it had been one of those..

Image

Here's Mike's description of the second pic:

I also took a picture of her sitting outside the box this morning. She is sitting near the center of the photo, Below the diagonal steel member. The box camera is the white object above the steel. The nest box is inside the tower to the left of her perch.

Image

I'm hoping he will have the band number of the Palmyra female..which is also a b/g band...

I think we need to keep an eye out for the resident male...just to make sure everything is ok here...I've only seen the female since the intruder incident...unless that's dad in the picture I posted (with the red square.)

I read a post on Facebook about the female on the Burlington bridge in which they stated that her colour band was read and they had identified her. But for the life of me, I can't find it any more. :furious:

Well well well, I found it. Shared it on the BCAW FB page 8 hours ago :girlcrazy: :egglaugh":
Quote:
Virginia peregrine takes up residency in New Jersey:

A female peregrine falcon that hatched in Virginia has been found nesting in New Jersey. The bird was hatched and banded on a smoke stack of the Dominion Possum Point power station along the Potomac River in May of 2012. She is nesting on the Burlington-Bristol Bridge across the Delaware River in Burlington, New Jersey and was identified by her unique band code 14/AV last week by Kathy Clark of the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife. The falcon may be viewed via webcam as the third stream provided on this link http://www.palmyracove.org/FalconCam.aspx. In 2015, three peregrines that hatched in Virginia were known to be breeding in New Jersey.
